Staying in Jan and it will be our first time in a 2 bedroom vs 2 studios. Consider the ROOM ONLY, which do you prefer and why?

I've never stayed at OKW, but always heard they have huge rooms.

If you stayed in a 2 bedroom, how would you use the beds? Grandparent get king size bed, you get the room with 2 beds and do the kids share or does one sleep on sofa?

I would go for a 2 bedroom if you can swing the points. The kitchen and washer /dryer is worth a lot in my opinion.

But aside from the room, I'd go for BWV, being able to get to two parks without transportation is wonderful.

OKW for the room. All BWV 2BRs are lock offs. There's only one real bed in the studio side and then the old back-breaking sofa bed. The washer/dryer is a stacked, apartment size while OKW has full size. Not only is the OKW 2BR bigger but, as mentioned by a PP, the balcony is huge with a patio table and 4 chairs. BWV has 2 smaller balconies which each have two chairs and a small coffee table.

OKW for the beds.
Although BWV's location is really hard to resist.

I would strongly take into account what your plans will be - if lots of parks, then location would be more important to me, or I would look for different options that have more real beds in the layout.

I agree with most of the sentiments previously posted. If it were me choosing and room is more important than location, then OKW. If you're looking for a good balance, then BWV.

You will probably be OK with either, but as far as just room goes, OKW is better. The 2BR is 1410 sq ft compared to BWV's 1071 (a huge difference). The OKW second bedroom has two beds while BWV has a bed, a smaller than twin-size Murphy bed that pulls down from the cabinet below the TV, and a pull-out couch (although that might be preferred if your parents are taking the second bedroom). The living room at OKW has both the pull-out couch and a twin-size pull-out chair. The OKW balconies are generally larger than BWV. And an OKW room is significantly points-cheaper than BWV (except for BWV standard view which can be very difficult to get even at 11-months out).

Nevertheless, if there is any thought to others, I personally consider the Kidani (1173 sq ft) and BLT (1152 sq ft) 2BRs to be the best 2BRs. You can choose dedicated or lock-off. The dedicated have two beds in the second bedroom while the lock-offs have the bed and pull-out couch. Both have that extra twin-sized pull-out chair in the living room. BLT 2BRs have almost floor to ceiling windows in the living room for excellent viewing. And most important, both have three bathrooms, something that is absent from every other DVC 2BR.

Agree with @drusba that the extra bath at Kidani and BLT are game changers. For the OPs original request (OKW vs BWV room only considerations), it's OKW by a landslide. However, If OP would want to compare these 4 options (room only), I would choose Kidani, BLT, OKW, BWV in that order.

Grandparents would get the King bed. I'd the the sofa bed and my wife would take the other bed in the room. Kids would probably switch up so often it wouldn't matter to them. They are little.

We loved OKW, biggest DVC Villas on the property. Longer waits to get to the parks due to all the buss stops and distance from the parks.

BWV are pretty standard size but I personally think is in the best location of any of the properties with direct access to HS and EPCOT. My next favorite is baylake.

I had no idea of the size difference! We love space! I do prefer the OKW vibe to BWV. We are doing 4 Park days 2 down days aka my dad and I will be playing golf on those days.

If it's space you want OKW has almost 400 sq ft more and the balcony is at least 2-3 times larger.
But OKW does NOT have elevator in all the building, if stairs are a major problem, OKW may not be for you.
