You will get house keeping just not daily. On day 4 you will get a full cleaning and I believe day 7 or 8 you will get trash and towel service. AKL Jambo is a beautiful resort. We have stayed there many times. Be sure to take the time to enjoy it! There are laundry rooms of the 5th floor as that is where the DVC units are in Jambo. Washer and dryers are free to use. There are also big trash bins in there if you need to dump any trash from your room prior to house keeping service. Be sure to try the zebra domes. They are delish! Most of all enjoy! Its definitely one of our favorite resorts. We haven't stayed there since 2014 and I miss it. But with a baby now we try to stay at one of the Epcot or MK resorts for more convenience. Have fun!

If you are staying seven nights or less. you will get your trash removed and towels replaced on day four (day one is check in). If you are staying eight nights or more, you get a full cleaning on day four and your trash removed and towels replaced on day eight. If you are staying in a one bedroom or larger, you'll have a washer and dryer in your villa. You'll get a single box of laundry detergent each service day (as long as a full box isn't standing out where the housekeepers can see it if you don't use it). It's a no-name green brand. If you are in a studio, you can use the washer and dryer that is available in the building on the fifth floor for free. You need a room key to open the door. If you need additional towels or shampoo or anything else provided, you will pay for it. This is a timeshare and members pay for everything other than what is provided each service day. No rollaways are provided. No extra sheets. If you have a problem with the unit, you can call Housekeeping or Engineering to provide a fix. But if you call the front desk, you'll just get a call center in who knows where (Tampa?, Kansas?) If you ask for a different villa or upgrade, you may wind up costing the owner extra points. Ask for problems to be fixed, but you'll probably be limited to what you can change to. You'll be on the fifth floor, unless your owner reserved a concierge villa (and those are very hard to get) on the sixth floor.

If your trash builds up before its time for the housekeepers to show up, take your trash to the trash room located on your floor. The location should be listed in your information. Extra trash bags will be in the bottom of the trash can in your villa. Studios have paper plates and bowls. Plus plasticware for cutlery. A few real glasses and mugs. One bedrooms and larger have pretty much fully stocked kitchens. DVC has Mr Coffee style coffee makers in the villas (usually ten to twelve cup). You'll need your own filters and coffee if you plan to drink more then one small pot (4-6 cups per filter pack) every four days.

Thanks so much for the detailed response. We would never think about asking for an upgrade etc, would not do anything to affect the member or cost them extra. We are grateful for the opportunity and also very excited.

Thanks for the tips!! Where do we get the Zebra domes?

They are a dessert selection at Boma, which is a buffet. Or you can purchase them at The Mara, which is QS. I think at Mara they come in packs of 4, but don't quote me on that. I may be the only person ever that doesn't really like them, so I haven't paid that much attention.

Have fun on your trip. You'll love AKV. That's our home resort & it's got an amazing relaxed feel to it.

You'd be surprised. There have been a few owners surprised when they were missing points or points were borrowed or left in holding because the person they rented to wanted something different.

Enjoy yourselves! We stayed at AKL-Jambo house in September, on rented points. We were in love! So much so, we hope to do so again in Sept of 2018.
Just so you know, we found a garbage room near the elevators on the pool side of the bldg to put out room trash in. We were never told what to do with it and without room cleaning it was piling up. There may be one in another location as well. We did get towel service on day 3 instead of 4, but guess that was a fluke.
Have fun!
