Hi everyone.

I have just booked our party in for the PPP on the 28.08.07.

None of us have ever done this before so am really hoping that it will be great - it certainly sounds like it will be.

Just a few things that i wanted to ask if i may please ;

What time can we get into the park - is it 4pm?

Has anyone ever been in August and if so are the queues generally shorter? (Or is this a first August party for Disney?).

I'm just hoping that the kids will stay awake and not be too grumpy - lol and that the weather is kind to us all.

Thanks for your time everyone - all these new events to try, its going to be like my first time attending Disney all over again......yep i have even booked my DD in for a makeover at BBB.:woohoo:

I'll try and answer the best i can:goodvibes

You will be able to enter Magic Kingdom at 4pm with just your party ticket, they have never done the parties in August before but last August the crowds were pretty low. having said that this is free dining period so crowds could be up on last year:confused3 Not helping am I? What I would say is that August is generally low attendance, hence the free dining to pull people in, these parties are seperate ticket events so not everybody thats there will go and I didn't hear of any of these parties being a sell out in jan/ Feb. i would say that your chances of short lines are pretty good.
I am also going on 8/28, reason being that the annual pass discount was offered for this night. that tells us another thing, that disney predicts this party will be quiet enough that they need to offer a discount on tickets. Its a midweek party, so the local kids will be in school.
Everything is looking good for us:goodvibes

Hi!

This is the first time it's happening in August. :) It was fun, I do have photos of it - but I can't imagine the lines will be too bad, except for characters!

Thanks so much for replying so quickly :goodvibes

I have never been in August to Disney, have always been out of the school holidays but gradually as the kids have got older, have not really been able to get away with so much!

Am really really excited now about the party - infact i would almost say i was more excited than the first time i went!!!!!!

Cheers all - Now all i have to do is keep it a secret from the kids :rolleyes1

The queues in August, especially the latter half, are pretty good. We did the whole of Fantasyland in one evening last year! Okay, so the party wasn't happening, but generally the crowds are lighter, so that party shouldn't be too busy. I know most people who went the Feb/Mar ones had virtually walk-on rides all night. If you are all older in our party and can stay up later, that's also a bonus too, as I remember the others saying most families with young kids leave about 11/12, so after that it's just the adults coming out to play! :rotfl:

And we shall see you at the party! We're at BBB in the afternoon, then over to PPP in full costume glory. If you see a flourescent green Tinkerbell walking around, that will be meeeeee! :lmao:

We're going on the 15th and the main bit of advice I've read is have a good afternoon sleep so that you can party when everyone else goes home  Also I read that the queue's for Captain Jack in Feb were over an hour long so we're going to skip that!

We are also going on 28th (DD turns 7) and I have an appointment booked for her a BBB as a suprise. If you see a very very tall man standing around BBB looking bored that will be my DH.

Really looking forward to this. Have done MNSSHP in the part but this looks just as good (just a same that I wont be able to meet the real Captain Jack!!)

Sorry everyone, but amid my delight that the tickets arrived safely and in my hands, i started to panic when i saw the entrance time printed on the reverse of the card - 7pm-12am.

Does this mean that we can't enter the park at 4pm and enjoy the festivities knowing that the party will be starting for real at 7pm?

The reason i ask is that i sold this party to our group and don't want to feel that i have misled them in any way.

Officially, my countdown has now begun........65 days and counting :woohoo:

Thanks for bearing with me everyone ;)
