Hi everyone! My name is Heather, and this is the first time I've posted on the WISH board. Let me tell you a little bit about myself....

I'm a 36 yr. old mother of 6 kids. I'm also a professional labor assistant. I'm on the go CONSTANTLY! I also am the PA Director for Give 2 The Troops. I'm constantly packing and shipping boxes overseas that weigh at least 60 lbs. With all the running and lifting that I do - why don't I weigh a nice 130 lbs!?!?!?!? But honestly...I feel like finding the time to cook healthy meals or go to the gym just doesn't exsist. Well...it exsists - but it's always around 8:00 at night and I'm flat out beat at that point!

My other problem is....my willpower sucks. I also find that I eat if I'm stressed, or angy :confused3 (go figure on that one).

Can you give me any tips for someone who has very little time to herself and runs around all day long??? Motivation tips would help a great deal also. HELP!!!! I want my energy back (and my skinny jeans too!!!!!!!!!!) Help me get started with this! I need some butt kicking!

THANKS!

Heather

WOW! You are super busy! Welcome to the WISH board! I just joined here about a month ago--it is such a great source of motivation and support! :teeth: I'm probably not much help as far as the advice goes, but I'm good at motivation and encouragement! Just remember, you can help everyone better if you take time to help you, too! (Ok, that was my guidance counselor career talking, but it's true! :thumbsup2 ) You manage to carve minutes out of your day for everything you do. Try just carving 5-10 minutes out to take a walk around the block or just do something to move, just for you. :cool1:

I understand about the eating when you are stressed or angry. I have a problem with that--everyone at work laughs and says I just carry a bottle of water around with me everywhere. I tell them that it's so I can put the water in my mouth when I feel like saying something not nice out of stress or frustration! ;) Most of all, though, remember--you can do this! If you can keep up with all of the other stuff you do, you can DEFINITELY do this! :cheer2:

Hello and welcome Heather!

Thanks for joining us. I know how life can be busy, and keep us from taking care of ourselves. I just recently decided to take care of myself more, and in turn have helped my family so much.

They see a happier me, they make their own healthy eating choices, we all have the energy to get things done around the house, and that leaves us more time to have fun!

When you have time, visit the WISH journals, and create one of your own. You'll get lots of inspiration and motivation there!

Good luck, and remember to take care of yourself!

As only my second post to the WISH lists I will come out of the shadows and join you as a new WISH poster.

From Jan. 2004 to Jan. 2005 I lost 46.6 lbs.
From Jan. 2005 to Jan. 2006, while loggin over 4,000 bicycle miles, I only lost 12.6 lbs. I get more than enough exercise however, I snack heavely in the evening. My friends give my plenty of compliments by saying "you have lost a lot of weight and, you've really kept the weight off". While they are trying to give me support, the compliments tend to do the opposite by making me forget that I still have 40lbs to reach my final goal. The ones that really make me lose sight are the friends that say "you look great don't lose any more weight."

After reading through some of the posts to the WISH list, I think I can get the kind of encouragement I need to help me reach my goals.

Heather, I'll keep an eye out for your posts and try to give you all the encouragement I can.

Bill
