First time pls help!!

Hello, after 2 yrs of persuasion lol I finally got hubby to agree to dlp last night so I booked it straight away!! Due to other commitments and prices we are actually going in under 3 weeks! For 5 nights staying at Cheyenne. I have 2 girls 7 and 4 and want to make it super special! I have been googling and looking round this site but getting seriously confused. Can anyone recommend some not to be missed moments and/or eateries. I have booked wild west show but that's it so far. Also I was told there is a parade on an evening?? So need to look into booking that. Thanks for any help

Dreams ! Every evening, great show, haven't seen yet, but everyone is so excited about it. Are you doing a character meal? Are your little ones crazy about princesses. If so you may want to meet them in princess pavilion.

Someone recommended having a meal at the Disney castle hotel but I looked and the prices are very high! I wondered if it's worth it? Is the food nice and atmosphere etc? Do you see princesses? It's nearly as much as princess meal. Any more tips appreciated

You can see princesses at Princess pavilion but queues are long. Also you could have dinner at Auberge de Cendrilion, but it's very high priced and food is fancy.
There everyday meet'n'greet with Buzz in Studios. Check the time in program. You also can meet Woody in Studios, next to Stich live around 11am. Or so it was, might have changed. There are few different characters there around that time, so things might have changed.
We are doing Inventions in Disneyland hotel. Yes, it's pricey, but it's character dinner, we've done Mickey's cafe twice now. Character interaction is great, it's a buffet and according to reviews well worth the money.

Welcome to the site ttck4eva .

You won't see Tinkerbell at DLP, as Isila says you're likely to meet Buzz and Woody in the Studios though . You'll only see the Princess for sure if you either queue in the Princess Pavilion, or book the Princess lunch at Auberge de Cendrillon. The Princesses are not at the character evening meals in the Disneyland Hotel.

With a 5 night stay in early February, you have loads and loads of time to see and do everything your children will want to, several times over! About a week before you go, print off the park programme from the official DLP website (this is the one for next week) -

The Princess Pavilion is nice, but I would only go if the queue is less than 60 minutes. Anything more than that and I think it's wasting a lot of time that could otherwise be spent doing more exciting things!

We did the Auberge on our last trip and although the food isn't particularly to our tastes, the character interaction was top notch! I think it's quite likely I'll be doing this again on our next trip.

When we stayed at the Cheyenne last March, we saw Woody & Jessie there for their morning meet & greet. Was great meeting them here as the scrums in the Studios aren't to my liking at all! They list all the characters that will be out in the reception area, so have a look there and you might strike lucky!

I would also recommend Inventions over Cafe Mickey if you're looking for a Character meal. The buffet is plentiful and the character interaction is great. Although it's the price tag that puts me off slightly.

Thank you for all your tips it really help. I have spent the last few days looking at every bit of info on the web about DLP haha. Can I please ask a couple more questions......
can you go to cafe mickey without buying a set meal? I wonder if I can make the experience a little cheaper by just getting a main course!

are the cinemas in disney village extra? This seems like a nice way to wind down at the end of a busy day at the park.

Has anyone been to the buffet at Cheyenne? it's where we are staying but also the menu looks nice - any feedback?

If my girls want to collect autographs will we spend our life queueing? and do all characters give autographs? For example when Mickey is showing us in to Buffalo wild west show will he give us an autograph? I am just wondering how I will explain to my youngest if sometimes the characters do sign and sometimes not!

My eldest daughter has asked if the characters eg woody, buzz etc can talk to her or if they are the silent kind like most people dressed up in the uk and if so do they sound like mickey/goofy etc

I still can't decide between inventions and auberge for our one 'big' treat. My girls would love the princesses but I keep reading reviews where only one or 2 come out! my girls are desperate to see rapuzal and sleeping beauty and would be dissapointed if we went to the princess meal and they weren't there........is there anyway to find out?

On another forum someone said that if you buy an adult meal at mcdonalds for 12euro you get a ticket for the balloon ride free - doesn anyone know if this is still true? I would usually avoid mcDonalds but would consider it for this reason only lol

Is disney village full of children on an evening too? it's blues weekend when we go and I think hubby would like it but would only take kids if it's the type of place other kids will be.

and finally cheyenne doesn't have a swimming pool so planning on leaving swim stuff at home but thought I better check first! are there other pools available for use (if we had any spare time that is!)

Café Mickey - You can order a couple of pizzas or a main course each no bother - Here's the latest menu with prices

The Gaumount cinema doesns't belong to Disney so it's not included in the park entrance. Most films are in French and you can see the weekly program and prices on their site

Characters don't talk to you and they only sign autographs when it's "planned" to do so - there are meet and greets listed on the weekly program, or you can join the "scrums" around the park like after the passage of the little Magic train parade.

Your best option for autographs is in character meals like at CM or Inventions as there they come to your table

Auberge has Cinderella as a standard (normal seeing as it's named after her) plus Aurora and a Prince and two mice. You can either have Ariel or Snow White.

Rapunzel is rare and not to be expected. You could ask on the day but don't expect them to tell you

The ballon meal at McDo is offered from time to time - You'd have to check if they were doing it when you go.

Otherwise the ballon only costs 11€ adult - 5€ child so if you don't like eating McDo you can buy direct

Disney Village is full of children of all ages along with their families so you won't be alone or stand out

You can't go swimming in another hotels pool but I doubt you would have had the time to even if it was allowed

We were in Billy Bob's at 11 pm and there were still children in there - so no problem on that score.

Earl of Sandwich and Panoramagique were doing a meal deal in the summer - E18,50 for a sandwich, crisps, brownie or cookie, soft drink and adult balloon ticket, and a kids version for E10,50. So not a free balloon ride, but not a bad deal if it's still on.

They aren't doing it atm sadly, I think it's a seasonal thing as the balloon is not working everyday due to the weather and you can't get a refund if the balloon is a no show so to speak

Thanks for the clarification Carrie. Can see their point really, the weather is unpredictable at the moment! The balloon hardly went up at all while we were there.
