First time on RCL - Allure - newbie questions

Have only sailed on Disney and out of Port Canaveral, but planning on a trip next June on the Allure. Never sailed out of Ft Lauderdale. Can anyone tell me if it is similar to Port Canaveral, as in parking and dropping of luggage?

I don't know about parking, but the bag drop is basically the same.

We are sailing the Allure on 8/5/18 out of Ft. Lauderdale. Planning to go down early and using some DVC points to stay at Saratoga and Vero. We booked an interior balcony that overlooks amphitheater on deck 10. It'll be our first time on this RCCL ship.
