First time on a waitlist....what

can I expect and what are my chances for getting a 1BR at VB for July 29-Aug 2???? Will my name be removed from the waitlist 31 days before? At that point do I call on a daily basis? We will be staying at OKW July 22-27 and then off to the west coat of FLA for the weekend and wanted to go to VB for the 29-Aug 2. If I can't get a room at VB what would my chances be of getting a room back at WDW for that timeframe? Should I asked to be waitlisted for either OKW. VLW or BWV in case I can't get on at VB? Or should I just call back and book whatever is available from July 29 to Aug. 2 and then if the waitlist comes through then cancel that ressie?

hi rosemary: your thoughts are true on the waitlist. they will remove your name at the 31 day mark, so call them afterwards. i'm not sure if they will put your name back on or if you have to call daily. if you really want to stay in florida for those additional days, then make a back-up ressie at one of the other 3 dvc resorts. the waitlist came through for me this last time, the other 2 times i was waitlisted it didn't work out. most people have pretty good luck with the waitlist though. hopefully, they will be able to fill yours. dee

At 31 days they will remove you from the waitlist. However if you call again, they WIL put your name back on the list so that you do NOT have to call on a daily basis.

We have had the waitlist work once nad not work once for us. But it is there and can work for you.

If you want to be somewhere on those days, I would book what they have available now, and then if the waitlist comes through cancel that backup ressie and take the waitlisted ressie.
