First Time Off Property Marriot World Center?????

I won't bore you all with details but I would appreicate any advice you may have from staying here recently?

Dear Disneynut,

I haven't personally stayed overnight at this property, but I'm a travel agent so I've toured most of the nicer hotels in Orlando.

The Marriott World Center is spectacular. Great pool, great roms, great restaurants. Maybe the best off-site hotel next to the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. It is so nice you may not stay on-property again!

We have stayed there....

Very nice rooms, nice atmosphere in the hallways.

We didn't have a great view and things were kind of far from each other, those were the only cons, but it was a very nice stay!

My family stayed there after returning from Cocoa Beach. We arrived fairly late, I believe after 6PM, so we did not stay and use the pool, etc... The hotel is huge and very nice. THe pool and grounds are beautiful. We stayed in the new wing which faced Downtown Disney. We watched the fireworks from our room which was neat. THe only negative is the parking--be prepared to walk if you do not want to pay the valet. Have fun.

We just stayed there in June. The MWCO is outstanding!! The service is top notch and the pool is amazing!! There's a starbucks and several restaurants that are very good. Do you have any specific questions?

Not really ! Thnaks for the reply. I am glad that they have an inside pool so at least the kids can swim 1 day in case the weather later on isn't warm enough. They still don't know that we are going down early.

I can't say how I know...but it was good enough for Drew Carey and his friends a couple weeks ago. Anyway, I hear it is VERY nice.

I stayed at the MOWC in Nov 2001 after staying at AKL for 5 nights. Had some points I needed to spend so did a split stay. Anyway, the hotel was nice but the parking was really terrible, especially on a Friday night. We had to walk from one end of the hotel to the other and it is quite far away. that aside, the room was good sized, clean, the pool was fantastic (I liked it better than the one at AKL) and the service was great.

No theming but really not a problem from my perspective. We'd stay here again but there are oh so many nice places to try, both on and offsite, and I really want to sample them all.
