So we usually plan Disney trip a few months in advance and I scoop up the remaining reservations that is left at that time. This time were going in December with free dining and my 180 days out is next week. Im looking forward to my father and I's adventure to Ohana. I also have gone in the past with my toddler who misbehaves. I have never got to sit down and enjoy a dinner there. Im looking at all the 5pm -8pm resservations are already taken the last week of November. My question is: When you call 180 days out, is it typical to not get prime time ADR's? I will be 180+4. I need a 5pm ressie so we can make MVMCP that night.
Also, when your 180 days is here, is it correct online opens up at 5am Central and phone opens at 6am?

You are correct with the morning times for making your ADRs.

And you are also correct that it is certainly possible that your desired ADR times may not be available when you call on your 180 day, particularly when you are looking for a prime time ADR at a very popular restaurant and during a busy period or when free dining is being offered. If you can't get your desired ADR then you have a couple of choices- pick a different restaurant or a different day and time. And then just keep checking back for availablility for your first choice. Persistence frequently pays off.

Personally, I wouldn't want to do an Ohana ADR on a MVMCP night. Your party tickets let you into MK at 4:00 pm. You'd probably be better off getting an ADR at a MK TS restaurant, or just eating CS that night and then dining at Ohana a different night.

So here is the dilemna, we are tyring to get a group for the Hoop De Doo show 180 days out and was wondering if they will let me book for more than the number of people in my room reservation. Some of my friends are joining for the dinner but they will not be staying on property? Does anyone have tips on this?

Just a hint if you want Le Celliar, call at 6am exactly for the time you want or Akershus. Just saying.

Your ADRs are not tied to the number of people in your room reservation. You can make ADRs for as many people as you want. Oh, and usually HDDR is not available at 180 days. You will have to keep checking back for when it does become available.

I actually think HDDR is booking now.... I just booked it for end of Nov

I called about an hour after the phone lines opened on the 180 day mark, was on hold for over 40 mins and was still able to get a 8:35am CRT, 9am Akershaus, two 5pm Ohana dinners, and a 5:20 Chef Mickey dinner for our September trip, which is during free dining.
