I had to cancel my October trip so scheduled a last minute July trip instead. When there were no studios on property for the night of the 4th, waitlisted BLT and it came through!
Also scored California Grill reservations for 730. So, my current plan is to watch the fireworks there or TOTWL. Am debating braving the crowds after that to hit a couple of rides with FP+ (since it will be our day of arrival and we have APs). Are they still really bad 
from 10-12? We are also planning MK for the morning of the 5th. Should we stay put and get rest for the am, or do you think it will be fun to venture out for a bit? Thanks for your input!!
