usually we either rent a car or take mears but this year Im thinking of surpring my DH with a limo or towncar

(by the way whats the difference and is one cheaper then the other)

Im a little edgy about them mostly since we never used them before but by reading these boards very popular

I am thinking of either Tiffany or Fl tours

I really dont know why Im so edgy

also how much advance notice do you need to give

please ease my mind

sorry about all the dumb:jester: ?'s and unsureness

thanks for any advice

Dznypal, you haven't asked any dumb questions.
Town cars are usually less expensive than limos.

The fewest notice we've ever given was 3 hours because we weren't sure if our plane was going to get out because of a snow storm and we ended up on an earlier flight. I would advise to give more notice so that you can reserve what you want.

Hope this helps and have a great trip.

We use Happy Limo, and although we usually book pretty far in advance, we've also done it a week out. They have never stood us up, even when our flight was late once and got in at 2 a.m.! If you are paranoid (like I usually am, although I'm getting better), just call the company you choose the day before your trip to confirm. I think just about all of them have toll free phone numbers.

I am using Cartier Towncar and they were given to me by referrals and I am very pleased with their response time to my email questions and making reservations. They are $85 and provide round trip transportation to the WDW resorts and they also provide a complimentary grocery stop so you can stock up on snacks for your resort room. Lisa

We have also booked Cartier...used them before and had outstanding service. You can check them out at:

You are not committed to anything just by booking on line, or by making a ressie. That may ease your mind a bit.
You do not have to make a deposit or pay anything until you are dropped off from the airport by the driver. I did notice however, that now they automatically add a 20% tip to the bill...we had such excellent service we tipped above that last trip, so I guess it 's ok...but a $85 roundtrip (including grocery stop) is really $102. You will pay the total amount when you are dropped at your hotel/destination, and then you do not have to worry about paying for your return. You can book your ressie on line, fill out basic travel info, and there will be a comment box for you if you have any special requirements. I always ask for the driver to put my kids names on the board they hold up at the airport...makes them feel kinda special. I is a very nice and pampered way to begin and end your vacation. Depending on when you are traveling tho, I would not wait too long to reserve...just one more thing taken care of. I usually do it once I know my airfare is locked in.

I love them! Always book on line and get an email back within 24hours. We have used them many, many times. Will use this again Oct 8 - great folks.

We used Tiffany on our last trip and the driver was right there waiting even though our flight was late.

We are using FL Tours for our trip in October. :)

I'm using Southern Elegance Limos in October. There are 12 of us going, so we are using their mini-bus.

I'm not sure when you're going, but most of the companies mentioned here will email you their rates, if you contact them through their websites. That's what I did. I think there were about 10 companies I called, and Southern Elegance had the best customer service, along with good prices, so they won!

Good luck, and feel free to PM me, and I can send you all the websites and phone #'s I collected!

A town car is just that, an actual Lincoln Towncar or simular sized luxury car. It can fit 3 in the back seat and one up front. A limo is a stretched limosine, that can fit up to 8, I think, but maybe fewer, I haven't been in one in a long time. The towncar is less than the limo. If you have a lot of people (or luggage, a town car/limo's trunk is only so big), a van is also cheaper than a limo but has lots of space for people and/or luggage.

I plan on using Tiffany Towncar for my trip, but haven't booked yet. Good luck!

Just go back, we used FL Tours. I can't say enough good things about them. We were picked up at the Bag Claim. We were 5 so we had a van. The kids got to watch Finding Nemo. We were taken to a Publix, and with the talk of a Hurricane coming we bought way to much food. We were dropped off at the CBR and picked up for our return 1 week later. Renata was our driver and she was wonderful. I can't recommend FL Tours enough. We will definately use them again when we go back.

for all the great ideas.

I have diffentaly decided on doing the towncar since there well just be the two of us (25th anniversary) so Im doing this as a surprise for DH so shhhhhhhh please dont tell him;)

Now all I need to do is pick one!!!

I espeically liked the idea of not having to pay until we get to the hotel

that really does put my mine to ease

thanks again for all the help

FL TOURS!!! Not only are they a sponsor of this awesome site, but they are FANTASTIC!!! You won't be sorry you chose them!

Andy is wwwwoooonnnnderfuuulll to deal with:)
The drivers are some of the nicest people you will meet (we think they're CM's in disguise;) )
