I will be going to DL for my first time on 9-27. It'll just be for the afternoon/evening. What should I know to do, see, not miss? I've been to DW but never DL.

Honestly, I think the fireworks fit in the do "not miss" catagory. They are amazing.

I wouldn't recommend making your first (only?) visit to Walt's park a Saturday afternoon & evening for 4-6 hours.

- Crazy crowded. (because it's Sat)
- All FPs gone (by late afternoon).

It'll leave a bad taste....try it another time preferably for 2+ days.

Actually 9-27 is a Wed!

But it will still be crowded and fast passes may not be available depending on your time of arrival.

That being said I would prep yourself for crowds. DL always seems more crowded to me than the MK in WDW because of smaller walkways.

Take a look at the website and pick a couple of things that are must sees for you and concentrate on those. I would reccommend pirates since it is different than at the MK.

I also second the opinion that the fireworks are a must see. They are awesome at DL.

I agree with these plus the fireworkes which must be viewed in front of the castle and/or on main street. Is there anyway you could at least go for the whole day? Still I'd rather go for 4-6 hours than not at all.

(I'm almost completely certain that 9/27 is indeed a saturday. Crowds will be high that afternoon but it's still very much worth going!)

9/27 is a Saturday (8/27 is a Wed). I don't have control over when I go, it's at the end of a convention and this is part of it.

Thanks for the advice. I am getting very excited. Especially since I just found out that the Halloween decor will be up :woohoo:
