For our Honeymoon in Sept we planned on staying @ CBR but have decided pulling our 5th wheel down from VT would be more exciting. It's our first trip to the fort we usaully stay @ one of the resorts but some how i managed to convince my hubby to be to drive down :cheer2: My ? is are the showers free most campgrounds you have to pay & if you do how much ?, and on the preminum sites can we put up our easy-up for some extra shade over the picinic table?

I love VT. :thumbsup2
I drove throught earlier today. :)
Showers at the fort are free.. very clean and roomy. Yes on the ez up.:thumbsup2 Plenty of room in premium site.
Will this you're longest trip with the camper?

Yup this will be the furthest we've pulled the camper, this weds we're picking up our new truck so now i feel comfortable pulling it that far! & it being a diesel hoping to get better mileage too:)

At the comfort stations there are men's and women's sections separated by a laundry (5 washers and 6 dryers if I recall). There are laundry products available, but we always bring a box of Purex 3 in 1 sheets...cheaper and easier to use. There is also an ice machine and bags for the ice outside. Each washer, each dryer, and each bag of ice is $2.00. I agree the CS's are clean and usually well maintained. They are also usually not overused since so many campers have their own facilities (some bring their own, but never use them, preferring to use Disney's).

Looks like you may get a small break on fuel if prices keep falling.

Drive safe. Do you have a route in mind yet?

The premiums are 18' paved and over 50' in length. Plus there is room around the pavement so you'll have no problem having space for the EZ up. The picnic table can be moved around on your drive so it will work.

Congratulations on your up coming wedding.:) Have you looked into the full hook up sites?:confused3 They will certainly save you some $$$! You could easily put up your easy up! Also spend the extra $$ on yourselves!!! Eat out.Enjoy the fort and have fun! Just a suggestion..

Congratulations ! Have a great honeymoon.

What a great honeymoon! We actually camped for our wedding. We wanted to get married in our favorite campground since it's so beautiful. We tent camp so I got ready in my parent's hotel room. We stayed at the BWV for the honeymoon but we'll be camping at FW on this next trip for a few nights. Congratulations and best wishes! :goodvibes

Yeah, better mileage. We all could use that. I'm so excited for you both... We love taking this trip and hope you will too.:moped: Enjoy your trip and the fort. Best of luck to both on your up coming wedding.:thumbsup2
