I am so excited, just had to make changes to plans, and we are now going Marck 20-30th(We are at SSR and OWK and trying to waitlist VWL or BWV). Right through the busiest times at WDW. So please post your strageties that help you have a sane visit during a busy time. For example how do you handle PS reservations...do you book now, or wait? Do you rent a car or still rely on Disney transportation (I have always done the busses, and loved them...just wondered if there was a better stragety at a very busy time like Easter). What about special events at the DVC resorts...do I need to sign up? Is there any hope of a enight ticket? And I am so thrilled about the AP discount, 10 days this will be a savings for us!!!:bounce: :bounce:

Feel free to PM me with any schedules you have used in the past. Thanks so much!!!:jumping1:

We went to Disney World for Easter in 2003 and didn't find it to be much busier than when we went any other time other than when we went in January 2001. I think it was busier on MLK day this year than on Easter Sunday. The only thing we did differently on our trip at Easter time was go to the Magic Kingdom on EE day.

thanks tinkerbee...I will keep that in mind. I was reading posts on the restaurant board about people being unable to walk in to dinners because they did not have PS at Christmas-New Years Day, so I was wondering if it was the same at Easter. I might post this question over there too.

I agree it is crowded but not that bad. It's is not as bad as Christmas or the 4th of July if you ask me, those are much busier.

I would make sure I had a PS for Easter day dinner. Then if you enjoy eating out I'd make at least one sit down PS per day at the places you know you want to eat.

I've been down for Easter twice since being a DVC owner, and this coming Easter will make 3 times. :D Lots of previous day trips over Easter vacations too.

It's plenty busy, but I didn't find it nearly as wall-to-wall as how Christmas week can be. I would make PS ressies for anywhere you really want to go, especially if it's on Easter Sunday. We have used the Disney transportation system extensively at Eastertime, in spite of also having a rental car both times. No problems, except for the usual crowded conditions on buses being shared by all Epcot resorts.

It is a BEAUTIFUL time of year to go. Last year, the end of my Easter stay overlapped with the first 2 days of Flower & Garden Show at Epcot. Wow, was that spectacular! :earseek:

Have a wonderful trip! Maybe our paths will cross somewhere. We'll be there Mar. 24-Apr. 3.

Easter is a great time to go. We have gone many Easters from 1985-2004. I would recommend PS's for eating out, especially Crystal Palace. The weather is usually wonderful, and the crowds are not nearly as bad as people make them out to be. If you have kids, there is usually special activities, you'll need to do some research. Have fun!
