We will be at Disney 9/11 - 9/18. I am planning out our Fast Passes and do not know how to go about choosing the times. For instance, we are going to the Magic Kingdom one day and want to get Fast Passes for Space Mountain, 7DMT, and Splash Mountain. We will be at the park at rope drop. Space Mountain and 7DMT are relatively close to each other but Splash Mountain is farther away. Do you go ahead and do your passes at 9, 10, and 11 and do each ride and then come back to do all the other rides? Do you do the two that are together at 9 and 10 and then make the one for Splash Mountain later so you can also go on the rides near 7DMT and Space Mountain. I hope I am making sense. We usually go in a certain direction and just do rides/shows as we get to them. Thank you for your help in advance.

In short, yes. Although when it comes to FP there are two schools of thought. 1. Get all FPs in the morning in hopes to get 4th, 5th, etc.. afterwards. 2. If you are arriving at RD you should be able to ride many things due to shorter lines so save the FP for afternoon. In answer to your question, yes, you will be traipsing back forth all over the park.

Hello all,

I have a question about FP. My son will be 4 when we get to WDW, so when i setup his FP for his rides can I ride with him even though i didn't chose those riders for my FP?

Example: the dumbo ride. I am pretty sure he wants to ride that but i don't want to use my FP on that ride.

You might get more responses if you make a new thread for a new question but no, you can't ride with him without a fast pass. Everyone who gets in the fp line needs their own fast pass (except babies)

I would not make a Fast Pass for any ride at 9am- the first hour after park opening is the best time to do rides standby with only a short wait, so you should spend the first hour or two doing standby rides only, before the lines for all rides start getting long.

At rope drop (9am), I would head directly to Big Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain (they're right next to each other), neither of which has a wait right after opening. That way you can save your Fast Passes to ride Space Mountain and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train later on.

I know some people say to book Fast Passes first thing to then get 4th FastPasses afterward, but in my experience (& from the reports of many others), you're unlikely to get 4th FastPasses for the most popular rides.
