First time to WDW (and probably won’t be going again for a while), going for a week before our cruise out of Miami. Family of 4 (Daughter 8, son 11). Daughter is not into princesses. Have been to disneyland before so familiar with some of the rides. Staying at wilderness lodge mid March.

I’ve been lurking this site (thank you for all the tips) and have the following itinerary. Looking for feedback on whether there is too much going on, it is over planned? We are there for 6 days and like some down time. Also looking for feedback or suggestions on anything i missed, or what ADR’s to drop (i feel like we have too many) and want to save some money. Our tickets arent park hopper, one park per day. Thanks!

Day 1:
plane lands around 5:30 from Canada. Using magic bus but probably will bring bags on board (not use yellow tags). Nothing scheduled, maybe order or pick up water, snacks, breakfast for stay (instacart, garden grocer, uber to grocery store). Do rooms have fridges?

Day 2:
Magic kingdom (9-3pm)
Have fast passes for: Splash Mountain, BTMR, 7DMT
Lunch ADR: Be Our Guest

Hotel and swim in pm

Dinner ADR for Hoop Dee Do Dinner

Day 3:
Epcot (9-2pm)
Have fast passes for: Spaceship Earth, Soaring, Journey into Imagimation
lunch ADR: Teppan Edo

Hotel and swim in pm

magic kingdom (7pm - 1am) after dark
Maybe try to catch the fireworks?

Day 4:
Animal kingdom (11-5pm ish)
Have fast passes for: FOP, FOLT, K Safaris
Lunch ADR: Yak & Yeti

Dinner ADR (7:30) - california grill (thinking of cancelling this, is it worth it? And just eating at hotel?)

Day 5:
Hollywood studios (11-5pm), don’t care for star wars
Have fast passes for: SDD, alien swirl, TSM. Would like to see beauty & beast
Lunch ADR: 50s Prime Time (thinking of cancelling this, reservation is one hour before SDD at 11:50 so not sure if enough time)

Head to Disney Springs
Dinner ADR (6:30pm): Morimoto Asia (cancel this and just wing it in case we want to stay at HS?)

Day 6:
Epcot (9-1pm)
Fastpasses for: nemo and friends, soaring, living with land. Will try to rope drop test track
(Don’t care about frozen)
Lunch ADR: have teppan edo again, but thinking of dropping of changing to something else (suggestions)?

Hotel & swim

Animal kindom after dark (7-12am)

Day 7:
Magic kingdom (9-12)
Have fast passes for: 7DMT, peter pan flight, space mountain

Do we have ADR overkill? Too much going on? Any feedback would be welcomed.

Yes, they have fridges

I would drop the HDD dinner - kids + pool = good luck getting them out and ready to get to the dinner reservation.

I personally think it is a lot to leave the resort, go swim, clean up and then go back to the resort for 4 more hours. My kids get worn out quickly. Once we leave a park, we typically don't go back. You could stay at EP and catch their fireworks?

Day 4:
Animal kingdom (11-5pm ish)

There are plenty of walk up counter service options - again, in my opinion, two ADRs in one day seems a bit much. California Grill is freaking awesome and very expensive but I wouldn't miss it for the world. We go every time we are there.

Day 5:
Hollywood studios (11-5pm), don’t care for star wars
Have fast passes for: SDD, alien swirl, TSM. Would like to see beauty & beast

you have an hour FP+ window, but again, there are plenty of walk up options for food. You probably don't need two ADRs.

Day 6:
Epcot (9-1pm)
Fastpasses for: nemo and friends, soaring, living with land. Will try to rope drop test track
(Don’t care about frozen)

We like to each lunch just outside England at the Fish and Chips walk up. Grab a Canadian beer next door (La Fin Du Monde?)

Day 7:
Magic kingdom (9-12)
Have fast passes for: 7DMT, peter pan flight, space mountain

Again, yes I think you have ADR overkill and the late nights will wear your kids out. We personally only do 1 or 2 late nights max. I'm not sure if you are rope dropping or not - but I would scale things back a little bit if it were me.

On one of your epcot days I would try to change your soarin FP to Test track. Test track is notorious for going down at rope drop. You are better off rope dropping soarin. Soarin also isnt hard to get as a 4th FP.

I, personally, wouldnt do more than 1 ADR a day. Your HS day you should be ok on the timing of lunch bc you have until 12:50 to get to SDD.

I wouldnt eat at the same epcot restaurant twice. There is so much excellent food there, including QS.

I wouldnt leave a park for DS just to eat. I would do DS on arrival day.

Unfortunately i have already bought “after dark” tickets for animal kingdom (day 6) and magic kingdom (day 2) and they are not refundable. Animal kingdom was released first so i bought those even though we prefer for MK, then MK came out 3 months later so then I bought those. I don’t love late nights either but may make riding more efficient as husband hates standing in line. Also we are normally on MST so hopefully it won’t be such a huge adjustment to stay up later.

Day 5:
Hollywood studios (11-5pm), don’t care for star wars
I would reconsider...

I'm not a fan of the movie Avatar but Flight of Passage is great. I couldn't care less about Aerosmith's music but love Rock N Roller Coaster. I've never seen any of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies... you know where this is going.

RotR is amazing and the land is stunning in its details.

Overall sounds like a fun plan.
Day 2 - you don't say what time your ADR is for HDD. The 6:15 could be a little difficult to get your kids there depending how much they love the pool, but it is fun and worth doing.
Day 3 Happily Ever After is worth seeing. Be on Main Street to view.
Day 4 - I would agree, drop Lion King and get a FP for Everest if you like rollercoasters. Lion King is a large theater and if you are in line 30 miutes before the show, similar to FP time, you should have no problem getting a seat. I love California Grill, great food and view. I would keep it, YMMV.
Day 5 - Don't worry about the SDD FP. If your ADR is an hour before your FP, you have an hour, plus a grace period to use the FP.
Day 6 - I agree, try and get FP for TT. Its fun, and goes down periodically and then you get an anytime FP. Also, RD Soarin', the lines usually are short. There are SO many good restaurants for table service or quick service, I would do something different. Chef de France, Spice Road, Via Napoli come to mind if you like those types of food.
Day 7 could be difficult getting up after the late night before.

I don't think you have too many ADRs. We normally have 1 per day.
