Hi all new here,

Family of four attending WDW 4 May -10 May 08. Staying at Shades of Green since wife and I are both active duty military. We have a 12yr old Daughter and 2 yr old daughter so we have several plans ready to go. Everywhere from us taking turns One of us with the 2 yr old in the morning, one of us with the 12 yr old...back to hotel for nap for everyone at noon, then back to the parks after that and we switch one of us take 2 yr old and the other take 12 yr old. Hopefully we can all stay together but I don't want my 12 yr old to be bored with the things the 2 yr old wants to do.

At the moment we decided we will be doing two days Magic Kingdom, one Animal Kingdom, One Disney studios and a half day of Epcot....Essentially Park days will be Mon, Tues...sleep in on Weds go to Epcot half day in afternoon....then Animal Kingdom Thurs and Disney Studios Friday.

Any suggestions out there, I have the unofficial guide and been doing lots of research, have character dinners reserved. Using Happy limo from airport to Resort and then renting car at resort for week.

We went for our first WDW vacation in Sept... DD5, DD8, DS16. Our family decided that this was a family vacation so we had each person decide what it was they wanted... Example: DDs wanted to do BBB and CRT. We had Dad and and big brother "pick us up" at the castle )they rode a few things while the girls were at the BBB. We all then had lunch w/Cinderella. DS16 was a great sport about it.... he had pics taken w/all the princess and even posed for the pics......his little sisters LOVED it! I don't think they would have had as much fun w/o him. In turn they ate at the choices DS made.... Planet Hollywood...Sci-Fi. We actuallly only spilt up twice during the two weeks.... I took the girls to Playhouse Disney live while DH and DS went to TOT and then dad took the girls while DS and I went on. We did have a great family vacation. Maybe this will work for you. Have fun!

Hi !
We'll be there from the 5th of may to the 9th and also staying at Shades of Green!! Your plan sounds good to me. You might want to do epcot long but it seems you have plenty of time there if you change your mind

sounds fun! do you have the planning dvd ---I think there will be lots your dds can do together, but you are smart to plan around that. Maybe get a list from dds which rides they must do in each park. Don't forget to consider collecting autographs, pressed pennies and pins (for collecting and trading). Happy planning.

Another May visitor here, May 2-10 at OKW.

It sounds like you've got things well in hand but you may want to do a full day at EP and a half at the HS (mornings are best there). We started taking DD at 5 months but when she was two we went with a 10 and 12 year old as well. We found EP was a park that everyone was able to enjoy thoroughly. You may want to give that a shot.

Oh, and as others have said, thank you to you and your wife for your service.

my kids have a large age span and what worked best for us was to separate in the morning and meet together for lunch and then spend the rest of the day together! I would stay with the older kids doing the "wilder" type rides while DH would stay with the younger kids and do the calmer rides. We would usually met around noon and have lunch together and then do family things the rest of the day.
