If you want you can go to the pool from riverside . Also we also stayed at french courter and it is a really friendly and quit atmosphere

We love POFQ. I agree with many of the suggestions already listed: pool, boat, beignets & movies. My kids also enjoyed the games at the pool that are run by rec staff, and they absolutely loved the pin board in the resort store. I appreciated walking along the cobblestone paths for a quiet moment to myself. Enjoy your trip!

Also, you can take a boat to Disney Springs if you're interested in some shopping/dining outside of the parks. The boat at night is relaxing!

Maybe the most beautiful property in all of WDW. make sure to explore both including Riverside as well. A carriage ride is highly recommended along with seeing Yeehaw Bob (go early). The boat ride down to Disney Springs is very relaxing as well.

POFQ is like my home away from home- it's a great resort and so small that you are close to everything.
Pick up the calendar of events at the check-in desk for a list of times and activists- outdoor movies in the evening, toasting marshmallows over the fire pit in the afternoon, lots of cool pool games with the lifeguards.

There is also a fenced in pool area that was built about 2 years ago especially for little kids with lots of cool water stuff to play in/with.

They have a cool doorman outside at the entrance to the lobby- he is all dressed up in a Mardi Gras outfit, and often gives out Mardi Gras beads as you walk in- he's a very friendly funny character so be sure to say HI!

IT's a very short walk to Riverside ( the sister resort) which has a sit-down restaurant, entertainment in the lounge, and you can rent a horse drawn carriage ride, and large 3 wheeled bikes to ride through the paths in Riverside and FQ.
