In all the years going, I have never received a pin. Because of our travel dates which are always either the first or second week of August, I have ALWAYS missed out. Either the pins were good starting the 3rd week of August, or nothing was ever offered, because, face it, this time of year is WDW's peak season.
I was following all the posts and saw the FD pin on these boards. Also saw it was good through 8/13. After 2 days of debating about whether to call (and be told NO once again), I bit the bullet and called yesterday. My dates are 8/8 - 8/17.
I had the most wonderful CM. I was informed that I did have the FD pin attached to my household name. I told her that I initially made my ressies through AAA and can I give the pin code to my TA to use. She said yes! Talk about being overjoyed. For a family of 4 - my kids are considered adults in Disney's eyes anyway
- the savings is substantial. This year, I was not even going to do the dining plan - so, all I can say is NEVER GIVE UP.
