First time DVC trip...

Any suggestions?! I'm bouncing off the walls excited and I have no idea what to expect. Is it any different than staying as a regular guest when you check in? And where are the Boardwalk Villas as opposed to the resort? If your room is a preferred but not boardwalk view, where is it going to be? Any comments and suggestions would be great. Good way to pass the time as I wait patiently...

It is better than a regular guest . You own it and you will be welcomed home. The preferred view might be of the pool, but I can't say for sure. If you were in front of the lake , looking at the boardwalk resort, the villas are to your right. going as far as where jellyrolls is. I think the villas are painted colors and the inn is white. I could be wrong, but I think that is the way it is.

BWI and BWV all check in at the same location. The villas are on the check in side, closest to Disney Studios.

Preferred views are 80% of the villas, pool, water, garden, boardwalk. The others (standard) are mostly on the parking lot side of the BWV.

Our first trip as disney members was to the bwv last march.
I didn't know what to expect. It was the best ever though.
We had a pool view which was beautiful.
I couldn't get over the hospitality of all the friendly cm.
The trip went beyond my wildest imagination. I hope yours does to.

Plan on having breakfasts in your room. Even if you're in a studio with only a minifridge and microwave, you can save a bucket of money with cereal and milk from the grocery store or even with danish from the Boardwalk Bakery. You'll also get out faster on days when you want to get to the parks right away.

Thanks everyone! We are so excited! We plan on doing cereal in the room on mornings and we're getting the Dining Plan added on to our stay so that means lunch and dinner is covered. We just made dinner reservations for:

Cinderella's Royal Table
Chefs de Paris
Coral Reef
Ohana

YUM! OK so my wedding gown isn't going to be loving me after this trip but... plenty of time for when I get back!

Ours was last year...I was sooooo pumped up!!!
What I particulary felt on our 1st day...
I actually stood across from DTD @ SSR and
pinched myself! WOW! I can't believe we own
a piece of "The Mouse!"

of your forearms...good luck!
As for O'Hana's...great food...love that coconut/pineapple
