First time DVC member cruiser!!

This is going to be our first member cruise (and 1st Disney Cruise). Could any of you member cruise veterans please, please, please tell us newbies what to expect as far as special goodies and activities???

We thought about just booking a normal Disney Cruise, but felt like it would be worth the extra points to do the member cruise instead. We'd love to have a glimpse into what we can expect about this special event!!

For some reason I can't find the one Live from the cruise. Maybe somone else can help?

My first cruise was the last member cruise and I found a wealth of information from the before the cruise thread. Mary already posted a link to that for the 2006 thread so that would be the best place to start.

Welcome!! Come on over the the SSMC06 thread and join in the fun. We're going to have a great time getting to know each other over the next several months.

The member cruise this year was our first. Cruising was something we wanted to do for a long time but found the entire process intimidating. That is, until I got involved in the member cruise thread. Not only did I make friends but it eased my fears of being a first time cruise. I'm sorry we didn't cruise earlier and we are looking forward to our second cruise next October.

For some reason I can't find the one Live from the cruise. Maybe somone else can help?

Glad I could help. I was able to get through on 2 phones, might as well give the 2nd to a fellow DIS'er!

We haven't been on a cruise either, so I am interested in seeing what to expect. We will be going on the 7 night Eastern Carribean cruise in January, so I might have some info to offer after that.
