Wow, I haven't been on the DIS in quite awhile. Nice to be back. So my darling daughter is visiting me in AZ this MAy and I'd like to take a short 3-4 day trip. I know nothing! On past trips we spent minimal time in the hotel whether it was one of the All-Stars or The Poly or AKL. OK we spent more time at AKL.

Unfortunately, I haven't started planning this trip until now. Any help about hotels would be appreciated. How is parking for handicapped folks at the hotels? When traveling to WDW we never brought a car or rented one, we just used Disney transport, loved it.

Any restaurants you can suggest? Special not-to-miss attractions or sights?

Thanks, Dave

I was a long time WDW visitor who is now hooked on DLR. Hydroguy has some excellent threads on visiting DLR the first time and one for frequent WDW vistors. I feel that by following a traditional legacy WDW fp strategy a DLR, you will find you can get a lot accomplished in a very short time. We prefer to stay at DLH to be immersed in the magic, but many people stay outside the park and love it. I did stay outside the park during an FBLA convention and had no difficulty making it to the park everyday. I noticed you mentioned handicap parking. If you have someone in a wheelchair or scooter, you will find it is easy to navigate to the park and within the park. We had a young lady in an electric wheel chair and she had very little problems navigating.
