we are leaving in two weeks for the disney cruise for the first time. I was wondering am i allowed to check in a bag with water and juice boxes in with my luggage i wasn't sure if you were allowed to bring that stuff on board. also I know the alcohol policy has changed and you can only bring one 6 pack or 2 bottles of wine. Many people have told me they still bring it in their luggage that is checked in plastic bottles or in a bad with their waters. Disney scans your bags before they go on the ship so do they open them if they see liquids? wondering what everyone experience was?

We just got back last week and we had a case of water in our bag. Juice boxes as much as you can carry in your bag. We brought water bottles and filled them up when needed, the water on the boat is pretty good. Looking back I would have gone without the bottled water.

Happy Cruising

I usually take a 6 pack of water to refill the bottles and use around the ship and when we get off. I wouldn't take a case, to much to carry. You aren't supposed to check them in the luggage but I know people have. Liquid is supposed to be carried on.

While you may bring aboard any amount of water/juice as you wish, DCL policy is that it must be brought aboard in your carry on bags, not checked. Yes, there are people who circumvent the policy, but if there is any damage done due to leaking beverages (yours) packed in checked bags, you are liable. Also, DCL policy says that any beverages confiscated from checked bags will be disposed of, not held.

They scan the bags, much like an x-ray, and can see bottles, liquids. Not sure whether they call you to the "naughty room" (done on other cruise lines) for you to actually open the bag and they can see what that suspicious item is, or if they just open it.

Our cruise is December 4th out of Galveston, and I've been wondering the same thing! I'm so tempted to bring an extra bottle or two of wine in my luggage . I've heard of others on other cruise lines packing liquor in their luggage and getting away with it.
