First Time cruiser

We have 40 days left until our trip. It will be me DH DS(9) and DD(10) traveling on 4 night Bahama cruise on the Disney Magic. Does anyone know the dress code for dinner? I read somewhere shorts are "not allowed".

Does anyone have suggestion for shore excursions on Nassau and Castaway cay?

Anything we should not miss or helpful hints?

Suggested dinner attire for most evenings is "cruise casual." DCL recently revised their policy to allow shorts in the MDR. No swimsuits or tank-tops though. Depending on the length of the cruise and the itinerary, there will also be a "pirate night", and perhaps a formal night and a semi-formal night.

My DH was upset about this too till we found out he CAN wear shorts.
Now he is happy too.
