Although I am a hugh Disney fan, I have not gone on a cruise yet. That is about to change. In 4 weeks I will be sailing on the Magic (7-day western cruise). This being my first cruise, I have lots of questions . . . . .

- I've been reading threads from this site and it appears that folks can find out their dinner rotation. My husband and I are in our early forties and will be travelling with no children. We are seated on the second seating. What will our rotation be?

- Although we are packing clothes appropriate for Palos (jacket for him, dressy patsuit for me), we will not be bringing dressy enough clothes for the formal nights. Where do we eat if we aren't attending the "formal" dinner?

- We really want to eat at Palos (but not at the expense of missing Animators Pallette. Will we be able to pick a night that doesn't conflict with this? What are the best hints for making dinner reservations at Palos?

I don't think you can find out your rotation before you check in.

Topsiders buffet is always available for dinner also, no dress up required. For formal night you really don't have to wear a gown or fancy dress. You can wear the same pantsuit as you are wearing at Palo's, with a different blouse. Got that hint from here. Or send it out to be dry cleaned.

When you get to Palo's to make your reservations, you can pick any night you want ( as long as its available) They also list which night is formal, semi formal, chef's master series etc.

Hope that helps

We have never had a problem with getting our preferred Palo's night by doing the following:

Get to the port early (11:30 - 11:45). Get signed in and look at your KTTW card, which will have your rotation. Get in line and then alternate walking around the terminal. There's alot to see and it gives you time to pick your "Palo's" night before getting on the ship..

Eat lunch, drop your carry bags in your stateroom, and then go straight to Palo's. They always are open for reservations earlier than the published time.

if jacket is good enough for Palos it should be ok for dinner formal nights as well..... dont worry most night i just wear a polo shirt and pants ....................... dont worry have fun...
woman can wear just abought anything , oh yea the only night we could get for palos was the night of animators palate so we did an early dinner there and then went to our regular
dinner rotation as to not miss the show , desert twice is always nice........................... actually i ended up having another meal at A/P was so good

Another tip: Someone may correct me but I believe they only do the "show" in Animator's on the 1st 3 nights of the cruise. So, whichever is your 1st night in AP, you won't want to go Palo.

We are in the same bracket as you (adults only, no children, second seating) and we have had the LAP rotation every time. Bet you do too.
