First time cruiser needs help

We are wanting to go June/July of 2003. DH, sons ages 4 and 7.
Going to go with Western. Where is the best cat. 10 or 11? Deck? For those prone to sea sickness? Close to elevators? Those kinds of things.

Thanks for any help.

We stayed on Deck 1 last week on the Wonder and had no problems of seasickness. My wife did get a little seasick during dinner the first evening but that was on Deck 5. I think the higher up you go the more motion you feel.

Go with category 10! The split bathroom gives you more room to get ready! You have a sink in both bathrooms, one has the toilet, the other has the tub.

We were on Deck 7 and it was really convenient. We were under the bridge so it was quiet (no noise from above). We often had crew members outside our passageway, because I think it was a way into the bridge for them.

My DH and I were on a May cruise and were in Deck 1, and felt little to no motion. However, that first night with dinner, we sure felt the rocking. It seems that the higher up we were, the more motion we felt. Being on deck 1 there was a little noise from below, but that's it, and it wasn't unbearable.

The higher you go up on the ship, the more motion you will feel. Being by the elevators doesn't seem to be a problem and it is actually more convient. These are the list of Dave's noisy rooms on deck 2
