Hi everyone!,

This is my families first time on any cruise and we are so excited!! I've been reading the Dis-boards for awhile now, but have only posted a few times(as you can tell!). I really enjoy visitng this site, and sharing in the "disney magic" with fellow disney fanatics :flower: Thank you all already for all the great tips and general info. that I've received here, this is the greatest :goodvibes
A little background, I'm married to a wonderful DH and we have 2 children, a DS 17 and a DD 12 , by cruise time, they'll be 18 & 13. We've been to WDW 7 times and love Disney, which is why we are doing a 5 day AKL stay before we cruise! :goodvibes
Once I get started, I'll probably have a ton of questions, so I hope I won't be too annoying :wave2: My first question is about the Dolphin excursion in St. Maarten. Has anyone done this before and how was it?
Also we'll be in stateroom #7060, anyone stay in this room, how is the noise factor and the rocking motion?

Thanks for all your help :earsgirl:

I don't have any experience with that excursion on St. Maarten. The ones we did I wasn't really impressed with. About your other question though, we didn't stay in 7060, but we were near it in 7064. It was a really nice room. Near midship, so not too far from the elevators. Wasn't real noisy either. I think you'll really like that room & the location. If you have any questions about the room, pm me & I'll try to answer as best I can.

Glass Slipper -
can't comment on the dolphin excursion, but wanted to share my St. Maarten's experience with you.

We had arranged for one of the snorkeling trips (catamaran, I think) and it was cancelled due to rough waters. Since we weren't in our room all morning, we only got the message at the last minute, and didn't care to switch to any of the remaining excursions.

No matter, thanks to these DIS boards, we never missed a beat. I knew exactly where to go/what to do: we grabbed a water taxi over to the beach, quickly (and easily/no pressure) "haggled" for beach chairs, water tramp and jet ski, and had an excellent afternoon!!! One of the best experiences of our trip! :sunny:

Hope you find the answers you are looking for! Meanwhile, have a great trip and HAPPY PLANNING!!! :wave2: :wizard:

Thanks for the replies so far. Anyone else have any tips? :earsgirl:
