My family & I(four adults) are looking to take our first cruise in June 2004. Don't I have the option of 3 or 4 days ground & 3 or 4 at sea? For a first timer, would you suggest 3 ground/4 sea or vice versa? Or does it not matter?

Hi and congrats on planning your first cruise! My family and I went on the 3 day cruise/4 day land combo three years ago, I think that it is still available either 3 day cruise or 4 day cruise. Well, our next Disney cruise is for 7 days because none of us got enough on tbe 3 day! Seems just as we got on we had to get off. Bottom line, if you like cruising, the longer the better. It also depends on what you want to accomplish during the land part, if you need 3 or 4 days.

Enjoy!:D

Jimmiej,
Since you have been to WDW several times, I would suggest doing the 4 day cruise. We did the 3 day and would have loved one more day on board. We just thought it went by too fast. You can also add to the land part of your vacation by adding a day at your resort. We did that and the only caveat is that we had to check in twice. Once for the extra day on the beginning and once more for the seven day package. This was a year ago, so hopefully that has changed.

I would do the 4 day cruise 3 day land one if I couldn't do the 7 day cruise....I would never do the 3 day since even the 4 day is WAY to short!

Another thing to take into consideration is your meals at WDW are NOT included in the land/sea package. Even though the price for the package is the same either doing 3 day land/4 day sea or vice versa, the 4 days at sea is really a better value for the money as you have another day of meals taken care of. If you had 4 days on land that is 4 days you have to pay for food. Depending on the size of your family and how much they eat that can be a significant amount of money...you could easily spend $100 per day for meals at WDW. I would rather spend that extra $100 or so on some drinks by the ship's pool!!!

I would take the 4 day also because you have been to WDW already. 3 days on the ship will fly by and you would have wished you took the 4 day!!
