first time cruiser $50 Credit

We also had the first-time cruiser $50 credit. We had checked with DU prior to the cruise and they took care of everything. However, when I checked with Guest Services on Sunday during our cruise to make sure the credit was there, it was not. The CM at the desk had never heard of this and had no idea what I was talking about (yikes). Luckily, I had printed out and brought the email with me from our Dreams agent, confirming the $50 credit. The CM filled out a form and made a copy of my email to turn in to "someone" to check on it. I received a voicemail in my stateroom later that night confirming that the credit had now been added to our account. Shew! So it might help to print out your email confirmation of the credit from your TA and bring it with you just in case DCL can't "find" the credit! :)

I booked my Wonder cruise with TA (not AAA) and already paid in full and had my documents when i called yesterday and got a credit. Mine was only $25 because I only booked the cruise and got my own airfare, not DCL's.

I had my travel agent check and I was unable to get either credit. She told me that the BBO was for booking your next cruise while on the boat and REF is not available with a military discount. Oh well, can't have everything!:(

I emailed my TA and asked about the $ 50 credit and this is what he sent back:

You will be receiving a vacation planning video with a promotional code
for the $50 onboard credit. Once you receive it please let me know and
I can add the code.

Does anybody know if this is the same code as "REF" or "CTC" that were mentioned earlier on this thread? If it is then I can just give my TA one of these codes insteading of waiting for the video to come...since it may take a while. Thanks.

To clarify:

The first time cruiser credit is the old REF code, now CTC. It is for first-time cruisers only and is currently offered only in 2003.

The BBO code is NOT FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC. It is a code that was offered to guests who had recently stayed at a WDW resort. We have contacted DCL and they have reiterated that this was NOT meant to be a code offer available to all.

I realize that some of you may have received this code who did not qualify and have had it added to your reservation but in fairness to DCL I am ending the discussion of this offer here. We have no problems with offers being posted that are available to all who qualify but the BBO code does NOT fall into that category.

Thanks for your cooperation. :)
