First time booking, need advice!

Hello CW,

This is our first booking and our home resort is SSR.

So I have been calling CS the past few days for trying to get a room at VGC next June. I am on the waitlist from 6/21 to 6/24 (3 nights) but our ideal stay would be 6/22-25 (3 nights). CS told me room is available for 6/22-25 but I can't book it till tomorrow (argh.....) Here is my question,

(1) Am I allow to be put on the waitlist from 6/22-25 today (technically tomorrow is our 7-month window date)?
(2) If I am allowed, would the reservation came through automatically if the room are still available or do I still need to call CS first thing tomorrow morning?

I am thinking/hoping if the room is available, we can secure our reservation easier. But please correct me if my thinking is wrong.
Any advice is appreciated. Still have a lot about DVC to learn.

You will have to wait until tomorrow to book or wait list for dates 6/22-6/25 using the 7 month window. Call first thing tomorrow to try to book your reservation. If the dates are not available tomorrow when you call, wait list for those dates. Be sure to cancel the wait list that you are currently holding so there isn't any confusion later (i.e. you get a reservation for your dates, but the wait list for 6/21-6/24 is still in system. Computer cancels your reservation 6/22-6/25 and replaces it with wait list dates which are not your first choice). Good luck!

I'm too late with the advice for today, but I've made a reservation prior to our true 7 month reservation time by making the reservation a day or two early through our true planned end date. Then I later drop the first nights that I don't really want.

This only works if you have plenty of points and aren't borrowing, etc so the canceled nights points don't go into holding.

If 6/21 was not available (which sounds like it wasn't), that would not work today.
