We are going 6/19 to 6/24. How crowded will it be? Is there a chance that water parks would be at capacity on 6/19? We are planning to go to one of them that afternoon.

Very crowed, the THEME-PARKS, that is.

I'd not worry about the waterparks both being "at capacity", however.

Just make it a point to be at the parks--theme or water--when they open and you'll be fine. Be prepared for the heat though. Drink lots of water, plan outdoor rides around air conditioning, and take it easy.

We were there that same week last year and although crowded no parks at capacity or closed. It is hot but we had a great time. They kept MK open till midnight almost every night and added second spectro and wishes every night. Have fun enjoy.

We went last June for my birthday and it was great. It was warm but not too bad. We are going in December this year due to hubbys vacation time. I noticed you have a cox email address, I do too. I am from the Virginia Beach area. Have a great time.

We always go either in June or July. Get to the water parks or theme parks at opening. Plan on going back to the hotel in the afternoon when you start getting too hot or go and have something to eat inside a cool restaurant. Then rest up and go back in the evening when it is cooler. Yes it is hot, Yes it is crowded, but the parks are open later and in the morning and early afternoon you can take advantage of fastpasses and in the evening you can take advantage of people waiting on the parade and the cooler temps. :thumbsup2

Yes, be at the parks as they open, or soon thereafter. If I were you, I'd pick a ride you'd DEFINITELY want to ride and head directly to it and get a fastpass. Then make your way around to other rides/sites and head back to that one later.

For example, if I'm going to EPCOT and I KNOW that I want to ride both Soarin and Test Track, I head directly to TT and get a fastpass. Then head directly over to Soarin and wait in line for that one. Head back to TT later. You can then do many other things while you wait for your fastpass time window without thinking you could be doing other things as you're waiting in line forever.

...hit the waterparks early in the week. Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. Folks tend to arrive on the weekend, and visit the Big Four theme parks before hitting the waterparks. So, crowds will be significantly smaller early in the week, especially in the morning. And, if you are staying on property, investigate early entry into the water parks! You will love it :teeth: Don't worry about capacity -- if one of them is full (which happens often with BB in the afternoons) the other will usuallly have space available and the cast members will direct you there...

Wow, Thanks for all of the advice. We are only going for 5 days and that includes the day of our arrival. Of course, we want to do it all; but we know it's not possible. Anyone have advice about our 1st day there? We will be arriving at the wdw resort around noon. We do have reservations to eat in Epoc at 7 PM that day.

Well then, GO straight to Epcot (not Epoc :goodvibes ) as soon as you arrive.
It will take a day's admission for you to enter and eat your meal, so you'll want to visit the park as much as you can that first day to make the most of your ticket price.

Whatever you do, be sure to see "IllumiNations" in Epcot that evening.
It should be at 9pm so you'll have time to finish your 7pm meal and go find a good viewing spot.

Thanks for the advice and the spelling correction. LOL We have park hopper passes so we don't necessarily have to stick with 1 park per day. Do you still recommend epcot only?

Since you're "losing" so much time already that day (late entry) I would not try to waste MORE by "hopping" between parks (which can take a lot of time when its busy).

So I still say go directly to Epcot and maximize your first day.

And :welcome: to the DISboards!! :thumbsup2
