First Time at the Swan-A Few Questions

We check in Friday. I'd really like to hear your favorite things about the hotel. What don't you like? Any best kept secrets? I know we can't charge meals from the parks to our room. (it's one of the things I'll really miss) How do you get around that? Cash and credit card? How much for a refrigerator in the room? Do we still have package delivery to our rooms? Thanks for the help!

We stayed at the Swan about 1.5 years ago. WE LOVED IT!!!

We had an upgraded room, and had a fridge in the room - but I don't know if they were in all rooms.
There was a small safe in the room.
They don't have package delivery back to this hotel.
The pools were great!
It was close to Epcot.
We brought our laptop, and liked that they had the high-speed internet access.


We loved the location! Would stay there again without any hesitation at all.

All rooms have a small mini-bar. Supposedly you can empty it (put all of the contents on the top so that it can be inventoried) and use it. I've heard that it doesn't get really cold, though. I've never done this, because we always take a collapsible cooler.

Your packages can be delivered back to the hotel. You can pick them up in the gift shop.

We just take cash and a debit card into the park.

We use a debit card mostly, no big deal. I liked the location most about the Swan, and how clean the resort is! You won't be disappointed at all!

We just got back from our first stay at the SWAN in Feb. We loved the resort and had a great time. We had a studio room with a great view and balcony. One of the best things about the S/D is the wonderful location. It is a short walk or boat ride to MGM or Epcot. You are at the Boardwalk with many dining options. The grotto pool is second only to SAB. If you get a chance try Fresh, located at the Dolphin, for breakfest. It is our favorite breakfest buffet. Everything is made fresh! Have a wonderful time!

Hi Barb,

We were at the Swan last August and enjoyed every minute of the our week there. We like our coffee in the AM and thought the Lobby Court Lounge had very good "wake-up juice". Not too important, but the elevators must give the fastest service we have ever seen.
As the previous posters have stated, the location can't be beat. The Grotto pool is great. And, yes, your purchases from the parks and DTD will be delivered to the gift shop, which, by the way, is very nice. Check out the Dolphin lobby. And the Dolphin Fountain for ice cream & stuff. Have a most magical trip!!

You will love the swan
The oatmeal soaps, never having to look for a lounge chair at the pool, they are a plenty!! Being the 1st bus pick up, turn down service with little chocolates on the bed, prompt service for any request or problem, those heavenly beds, we were going back to the swan again for our 3rd time in 2 weeks but I got a almost comparable rate at the poly with an ap, so we are there. But we will go back to the swan in dec. because dh has a conference, its our 2nd favorite resort. The location is great!! Enjoy your stay and give us a nice trip report when you get back, oh yes an extra sink outside the bathroom too!!
