Hey everyone! I'm taking my daughter on a kind of spur of the moment trip to disney next week...just decided today lol. I havent been keeping up with disney news and updates this year like I usually do and didnt realize that all stars are closed...so I booked at pop. We've never stayed at pop so any any advice is appreciated! I have a standard room because there were no preferred rooms available. Are the microwaves in the food court area available to be used or are they not available because of covid-19? I believe we will mostly be staying at Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom and probably not going to other Park I don't believe Hollywood Studios will be open while we are there. If anyone has any advice I greatly appreciate it we are not Disney newbies but we are staying at a resort we've never even been to and have not been to Disney since they've reopens this year so we don't really know what to expect

Hi there! Pop is one of my favorite resorts and I hope you and your daughter will enjoy it too. There are no microwaves or toasters available to use in the food court like there were pre-covid. The menu at the food court is pretty limited and you will need to use mobile ordering. It gets chaotic at the entrance at popular meal times because people are standing around waiting for their orders to be ready. I had my car when I was there last month, so I pretty much ended up going off site for food.
All 4 parks are open every day, albeit with limited hours, so not sure where you are seeing that Hollywood Studios is not open, unless you mean there are no reservations available for your dates?
Since you won't be going to either of the parks that are served by the skyliner, I would probably call and request a room in building 10. You will be close to the buses and the food court/gift shop. Also, if you have a car, park in the 90's lot for building 10, it is much closer than the 70's parking lot.

Thank you for the reply! I'm excited and also nervous about this trip. I knownits going to be different and restrictive with covid rules but my daughter has been begging to go and I thought it would be nice to surprise her. I will have my car, we live 6 hours from disney so I'll drive down. But I'm trying to stay fully in the disney bubble and not leave for anything. Can I have Amazon deliver snack? It may be easier for me to just buy them here and haul them down there myself. Its going to be 4 nights with 3 days in the parks. When I called to reserve the room the guy (jay) said Hollywood studios would be open on my arrival day but closed after that, I didnt look yet because I've been working, I just took his word for it for now. Is there still a gift card to forego mousekeeping?

No gift card right now to forego Mousekeeping.

HS is open every day, but when a CM tells you over the phone that it's "closed after that," what they probably mean is that there are no more available park reservations for HS on those days. It doesn't mean that the park is closed to all guests...just that you can't go there because there aren't any slots available.

Since you're driving, probably easiest thing is to bring your own snacks with you. You could have Amazon deliver a food order, but I think that you have to be in your room for Bell Services to bring it to your room now.

Get familiar now with mobile ordering on the DW app. All of the QS dining locations that are open will urge you to use it now.

We just did 1 night there. The line for the skyliner starts about 1 hour before the skyliner starts running.

I'd try to get a room in the 70s if they won't upgrade you to the 50s or 60s. The walk to the central area is much shorter. They put us in the 80s but we called and they moved us.

Also the pot roast from the food court was AMAZING. Seriously, my wife and I couldn't believe how good it was. They could serve that at a sit down restaurant and charge 28 dollars...

Overall we really liked POP.

I do believe people have grocery orders delivered to them at the resort, but I'm not sure how that works. Hopefully someone else will answer that question for you.
I'm 6.5 hours away and have been driving down due to Covid, so I generally make a trip to Costco and just take everything with me as far as snacks, etc.
Totally understand about wanting to stay in the "disney bubble" but I ended up going offsite for food because everything I tried at the food court was just awful. I felt perfectly safe going to Chick fil A drive thru and I also found a Panera nearby that did curbside delivery to your car.
