Anybody have insight on this resort? where oh where to stay? my dd wants to stay at CSR where would you stay and why? what is the diff. between POFQ AND POR? WHAT ONE IS THE BETTER OF THE TWO? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As I stated we just returned from POFQ two weeks ago. We have stayed at other moderates, CBR and POR, which was Dixie Landings at the time.
I liked all these resorts, but really enjoyed POFQ. We were in building 5, facing the pool (we only booked standard view so I guess we were upgraded). It was a very short walk to food court, front lobby, pool and bus. The boat dock was also very close. I liked Riverside, but it is spread out as is CBR. So unless you are in a close building to everything, it can be a walk.

I have stayed at both POR and POFQ this year, and I thought the French Quarter was much better..the rooms have just been renovated, the atmosphere is fun and the whole place is much more intimate than POR (which is a good resort, dont get me wrong, its just bigger and felt less Disney to me for some reason).

Best of luck making your decisison...keep us up to date,

Stayed at pofq this past march, right after the re-opening.This resort was neat and clean and had that new feeling.I'm not sure what the ages of your children are but they have a very nice pool area and playground. This resort has a upbeat feel to it and staff is very friendly and helpful.Every thing is in walking distance from your rooms, and your children will like the boat launch to downtown disney.I found the food to be fare ,but we mainly ate other places. Now for CSR,My family stayed there April 03,and had a wonderful time. This is a much larger resort and walking is a must.My son age 12 still says its his favorite. The mexican theme play area and pool are very nice and relaxing. The snack bar at the pool is a plus and very resonable. At night the resort is gorgous and very romantic,so to me there's somthing for everybody! Both are great for familes but I lean towards CRS.

POFQ is small and cozy. Not too far to walk to anything. CSR is spread out.

POFQ is newly renovated.

POFQ and POR are or at least seemed to be very centrally located and had very easy access and low ride time to almost any park or place. CSR is way down toward the All Stars and Animal Kingdom so it is not as quick a trip.

I have two daughters and they absolutely loved the pool and the slide. I could not tear them away from that slide. They made a few new friends while at the pool.

POR and POFQ have a boat dock with boat ride to DTD. Not the fastest way to get there but certainly the best.

CSR has convention business quite often. You are likely to hear more "adult" language here around the pool etc.

Nothing against CSR really but POFQ and POR are great with POFQ the best of the two.
