I just booked a one night stay at the GCH and I'm really excited. I probably go to DLR about once a month, but I really only visit the parks. This time I really want to experience the hotel and try to have some non-park relaxation. Does anyone have any suggestions.

<font color=navy>Get there early, check your luggage in, and then go play in the parks. You can check in the hotel at 3pm, and then spend some time enjoying the hotel itself. :)

The Grand Californian has a tour of its own, I can't remember what it's called, but it sounds like it would be interesting (if I didn't have young kids who want to ONLY do the parks). Also, we have a favorite "hiding" spot that's quiet and relaxing....outside, just behind the area in the lobby with the big fireplace, is an outdoor fireplace with rocking chairs. We love to just sit and rock, and look over at Paradise Pier.
