I can't wait. It is getting closer and closer to our Disney Trip and our first time camping at the Fort. There are six of us going and we leave Friday, April 1st and are staying until April 9th. My Husband and I have been planning this trip for over 7 years (we started planning the day we found out we were having our first child) and we can't wait to take our son. We are very close to my family and my Mom loves to travel so she will also be going with us. And I couldn't go without my two wonderful nieces. So there you have it - Me, DH, DS7, MeMe (my mom), DD11 and DD9.
(Side note - the girls are like daughters to me and travel with us every where we go so don't get confused if sometimes I say nieces and other times I say daughters.)
I have been reading all the tips and looking at the pictures trying to learn everything I can in order to make this trip extra special. We are taking our camper which sleeps 8 and my DH is bringing his tent. I'm looking for suggestions and last minute advice to make sure I have everything some what under control. My Mom hates to plan and doesn't want to be tied down to anything, however, I like to have everything planned so we are meeting in the middle. I have a few ADR's made mostly for dinner and I know what park we are doing each day. Other then that it's all about what the kids want to do each day.
MeMe thinks it might make it easier on us to use the comfort stations to speed up the baths in the evenings - I haven't been able to find any pictures of the comfort stations but are they nice and what are the must things to bring with you when you go.
Also our kids got scooters for Christmas and love to ride them. Is it OK to bring the scooters and can the kids ride them thru the camp ground?
We should arrive at the Fort by 5:00 on Friday and plan to just set up camp and hang out at the Fort until bed. Any suggestions on what to do for dinner that would be easy? I thought I read something about a "Take Out" type dinner you could get - can you tell me more?
We plan to do Epcot on Saturday as our first full day of Disney Fun. We have a ADR for breakfast with the Princesses at 9:10. Can you tell me what time we need to leave the Fort in order to be on time? How do we get from the Fort to Epcot?
Any other tips, advice, suggestions, etc. you can share with a first timer?
THANKS SO MUCH!
