First time at Disneyland California

There are two parks at the Disneyland resort in California - Disneyland park and California Adventure. If you are only there 1 day, you can either just do 1 of those parks. Or buy a 1-day park hopper to be able to visit both parks.

You mentioned the Guardians of the Galaxy ride in your first post - that ride is located in California Adventure.

Okay. Well the good thing is...there aren't really any duplicate rides from WDW, except the Little Mermaid and Toy Story Mania.

I never did toy story mania. I’ve been on soarin in Epcot and love it.

California Adventure is relatively easy to do in one day, so that's great for you!


Are you planning to rope drop? And is everyone going an adult? If so, I would rope drop the Pixar Pier rides and I would use single rider for RSR and Webslingers. We did that in July and it worked really well for us.

No. Park at the Mickey and Friends or Pixar Pals structure. That's my preference as a frequent visitor.

So we know what we really want to go on. I haven’t found touring plans to be that helpful. so I will make my own plan and check the maps. I am hopeful that we can knock out a lot of rides in the morning and then we can fill in with some other ones and shops.
