This will be our first time staying at both the DLH and concierge level and would love input/suggestions on how to best enjoy both or either.

Thanks so much!

Grab some snacks and drinks to go, even just some waters to carry to the park with you.

Can you share a link of what concierge level service provides? I am new to that

Personally, I love staying concierge - have done it at all three hotels and each one is slightly different. Some tips:

Since you are staying on property, you can use vacation planning services to make all your dining reservations (including World of Color dining), book any tours or Fantasmic! or order any gifts to be delivered to the room. I use them for every trip and they are awesome! Once they have completed all your reservations, you will get a complete daily itinerary. Their phone number is 714 300-7526 Option #2.

When you arrive at the DLH, there is a dedicated check in for concierge level - use to be to the far left but not sure if it has moved since the lobby was redone. If you arrive early and your room is not ready, you can still access the lounge. Make sure you go up and get some snacks and drinks - you can take them into the parks unless the sodas are still in glass bottles. The drinks are available the entire time the lounge is open.

Morning offerings are usually - juices, coffee, tea, milk, bagels, pastries, fruit tray, cereal. Again, take some for the parks.

Afternoons are usually whole fruit, chips, trail mix, pretzels, goldfish, and crustables.

Evenings - usually 2 hot appetizers, like chicken skewers, egg rolls, crab cakes, etc., cheese and crackers, veggie tray. They offer beer and wine during this time. (I think 5-7 pm). Then they clear it and around 8 pm, offer sweet treats - mini desserts, chocolate strawberries and cordials - Baileys, Brandy, etc. You can watch the fireworks from the lounge - they pipe in the music and in nice weather, they open the windows (I think they still do this).

You are also welcomed to take snacks back to your room. We would take a glass of wine to our room if we were going back into the parks to enjoy when we returned to the room.

It is a nice treat and you will feel very special! Enjoy!

One cool thing I discovered is that concierge lounge access begins as soon as you arrive, even if you are there before official check-in. We got there in the morning, pretty early, and were able to take advantage of breakfast in the lounge even though technically check-in was in the afternoon. You can also take advantage of the lounge until noon on your last day. If you are leaving later, ask if you can have lounged access in the afternoon (they would have to let you in or give you another key). They may or may not do this but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Does anyone know what time they usually start putting out breakfast items? We want to be at the gates for early entry by 6:45AM.

When we went, we stayed a week at DL Concierge and it was the trip of a lifetime! We really loved the concierge. My (5) kids got to know the cast members staffing the concierge desk and taking care of serving as well and they really were treated very well by the staff. You can trade pins with the cms at the desk, they made our SeaWorld arrangements for us when we added another family member on to our tour. For the kids they have signed 8x10 black and white glossies of the charachters. Since they didn't have Pluto for my son, they said the'yd look for one. Later that eve, a pkg came for him with pics and a huge cool new Pluto pin form the cms at concierge! What a treat. We had breakfast and snacks there plus took water bottles for the park and sodas for our room. When we went to SeaWorls, they packed up a picnic for us with sandwiches and fruit! Some folks fly in and out on the way to the parks and we did that too but we also relaxed in there (as nice as squishing on 2 beds in the room) and let the magic roll!
Most of all don't be shy about enjoying the room, the food, the cms,the beverages and time in there. It is all there for you!

We're doing a girls weekend at GC Concierge in a few weeks! We're so psyched! We plan on utilizing all it has to offer :cool1:

No big rush to get into the parks, no schedule. Just chillin' and enjoying each other. We decided to go big on this trip.

We did that in Oct and it was a blast!! Believe me, we took advantage of the happy hour every night!! Are you going to do any spa treatments?

Have fun!

I agree it looks amazing and we are looking forward to our first this month as well, 25-30 at PPH.

One question, I have heard from many people that is it OK to take snacks back to your room or even drinks into the park. My question is are can you take any drinks or snacks to the park when you are concierge or is this little trick something we have been missing all together any anyone can.

Thanks,

If you question is can only CL guests take drinks and snacks into the park or can anyone do it, the answer is anyone. No glass, alchohol or unprepared food is allowed through security. Anything else is fine to carry with you into the parks.

Our favorite thing to do was go up in PJs (the kids) and watch the fireworks with some snacks. It was a great way to unwind before bed.
