I am arriving on 6/21 with my 7 year old son and 8 year old neice. Just the three of us this trip and its only for 3 nights. My waitlist just came through for a pref view studio at the Boardwalk.

What can I expect, we have never stayed there, and I honestly dont know enough about the area. We signed up for the dining plan, never have done that either, but figured with the two kids it would be a great addition.

Basically we are there all day friday, saturday and we don't fly home until 7:50 on Sunday, so we have lots of time.

How would you plan your trip?

I have left over hopper passes for two days (may need one more for neice), and plenty of water park passes.

Neice hasnt been do Disney in 3 years.

If they swim, they may like the slide so much that you'll be spending lots of time at the pool!

We've never brought children with us to the BWV (didn't realize that until just now) but I think they will really like the activity on the Boardwalk at night. The Boardwalk bakery is good for breakfast counter service, but the line does get very long...or buy boxes of donuts with the snack credits and enjoy a (somewhat) less nutritious breakfast.:goodvibes

Have a great time, I can see that you're really excited and can't blame you one bit! We'll be at WDW the week before you.

Do any of the pref view studios have two beds? Or only queen and full sleeper? Looking at the DVC website, it doesnt show two beds at all???

Old Key West is the only DVC resort in WDW with two queen beds in a studio. All the others have 1 king/queen and a pull-out sofa. So you may need to bring a air mattress or sleeping bag or something if the kids dont want to sleep in the same bed.

Thanks - I just find it a major cramp to half to open and close the bed every day. But not really a big deal since we will hardly be in the room!

Congrats on getting your waitlist! We are staying at BWV for the first time in Sept. I think you will enjoy the DDP, it's a lot of food, but worth it!

(BTW I used to live in Southbury :) )

Many of the studios in BWV have the new type sleeper sofas and I don't think that they are hard to open. We or friends have been in about 5 different studios since October and all but 1 have had the new type sofa bed.

Be sure to take the kids over to the community hall over by the quiet pool. My kids love it in there. They have coloring pages, air hockey, ping pong, video games, tv, arts and crafts. You can get noodles for the pool there and rent movies for free! We like to spend some time there giving the kids a break. DS loved playing with all the toys. They also loved having a chance to just color and take a break from the parks. My kids would be happy with the pool and playground all day!LOL There is also an arcade near the main pool and one at ESPN. One of our favorite things to do is stroll the BW in the evening watching the entertainment and eating ice cream! They have face painting, hair wraps, BW type games, surrey bikes, strolling entertainment right on the BW. If you decide to do the parks you are a boat ride or walk away from MGM and Epcot. We were there last month and on the DDP. The CS options are really lacking in this area. That was my major complaint. We had a 1 bedroom that had the new sleeper sofa. The bedding and pillows are all stored inside the bed. The kids said it was comfortable enough. We didn't think sitting on it when it was closed was comfy. They kinda felt cheap and a bit hard. I would imagine that this wouldn't matter to you because you probably won't spend too much time in the room! Keep in mind that at the screen door store on the BW almost anything under $4 is a snack credit. We were able to use a snack credit for a 2 liter bottle of soda, box of six donuts, etc.. I would also take a walk over to the BC and eat at Beaches and Cream and also CS at the Beach Club Marketplace. You will love the location. Have a great trip!
