Hi there fellow DVCers........

Our "home" is BW....we have been many times there. Now we want to try all of the other DVC sites. Last year we stayed at OKW, and in January we stayed at VWL. Now next month we are on to the Beach Club. Other than Cape May, are there other "eateries" on site? When we stay at BW, we usually do the mugs......what about at BC? Thanks for your insight.....I can't wait to go back to my favorite drinks at Hurrican Hannah's !!

thanks all!

Beaches and Cream is an excellent Burger and Icecream shop - it is popular and on the small side, so it's best to go at off times, like a late lunch/early supper around 3:00. They do have a take-out window, also.

It's located right at the BC.

Have a great trip!

Also, for breakfast, you can get coffee and muffins to the left
of the lobby. We were there last month and still walked over
to the Boardwalk Bakery for breakfast :)

The Yachtman's Steakhouse is 1 of my all-time favorites. It can be a little pricey, but the food is delicious and to me well worth the cost. It's not somewhere we go every trip, but I do look forward to it when we do.

The Ultimate Burger is aptly named. The best I've had at WDW. Also try the Frozen Sunshine for a nice refreshing shake. We even make them at home.

Beaches and Cream has great malts and shakes too. But, like previously stated, it's very small and very popular, go during off times. We also love Tubbies at the Dolphin too. You get a DVC discount (I think, it could be AP or DC) and it's a cross between counter and sit down. We love eating breakfast there. Not a bad walk and reasonably priced with the discount.

The Yachtmen's Steakhouse in the Yacht Club is a great steak restaurant...better than Shula's in The Dolphin, IMHO.

The Yacht Club Galley, which I think is still open, is a nice restaurant too.

Nothing beats Beaches and Cream for a casual meal, ice cream etc.

Cape May Cafe in the Beach Club has a character breakfast and a nice seafood dinner buffet.

Of course, you have access to all those restaurants on the Boardwalk as well.

IMHO, the Boardwalk area hotels are the best in terms of location on the property.

I believe that BC/BCV has refillable mugs as well. And they are refilled at Beaches & Cream. I'm not sure if there's anywhere else that refills them there.

The last two times we were at Beaches & Cream, there were long lines for people to refill their mugs. You have to hand them to the counter CM's...you can't refill them yourself like at other resorts. Naturally, with SAB being right outside, they have a lot of action there!

Enjoy your trip. Sampling the DVC resorts is great, isn't it? :)

On your question about the refillable mugs. I used them last year. Refill at Hurricane Hanna's, Beaches 'N Cream, and in the afternoon & early evening at the lobby bar. Also, you can refill at Cape May. Go to the reservation stand and one of the ladies will help you.

Restaurants...As you can read from the other posts, there are a lot at both Beach Club & The Yacht Club. The galley at the Yacht Club was closed in 2002, but has re-opened.

Don't forget the restaurants at Boardwalk & Epcot are just a few minutes away.

Finally, do you like wine? Martha's Vineyard at Beach Club has a great selection! :p

Do we like wine? We are going with our 16 yr old DS and our 8 yr old DD, in addition throw in our 6 yr old nephew's first visit to Disney....you bet we'll try the wine!
