First time at a Mod. Which one do you recommend? (Or not.)

Hubby & I just returned from a stay at POFQ, and we loved it! This was only our second on property stay (first being CR), so excuse my enthusiasm :)
Although we traveled as a couple, there are some really neat things for families to do here. There is a marshmallow roast at 7pm by the river, movies on the lawn every night, pool party every afternoon, etc... The food court is very large and has a great selection of food. The grounds are really breathtaking, everything is in such great walking distance. I would def stay at this resort again as we had a wonderful time!

We just returned from a trip (in June) and happened to stay at both POR (one night) and CSR (2 nights)---along w/ our vwl reservation. We have stayed at POR before also.

POR has beautiful theming and rooms seemed more updated than CSR. We also had a much better experience here in the food court and in general with the Cast Members.

CSR is nice but I don't believe we will ever stay there again. I agree w/ others about how crowded the food areas seem (didn't care too much for Pepper Market either) and our room, while very clean, was musky smelling and needed some updating. The top of the toilet tank didn't even fit right...kind of odd. We were also way out in Ranchos which I absolutely did not care for. I will say their bus service was much better than PORs though...the CM's at CSR seemed to be more put out acting than any other resort we went to.

Have you ever thought of renting DVC points? We did this for our Wilderness Lodge stay and it ended up being about the same price as a mod stay.

We loooove POR. It's gorgeous, ground are stunning and serene. Nice thing is that the resort isn't overly big, and you have all amenities right there. You have the bike rentals, a quiet pool, yehaw bob, a wider variety at the food court. Love the make your own pasta section. Its a beautiful resort and my fave mod.

I personally don't care for pofq. The smallness doesn't appeal to me. Either does the decore.

CSR is my 2nd fave. It's gorgeous. Plus the pool is nice and the hot tub is big. Pool has quick service with mug refills. Plus there's a sand volleyball court, a bar, arcade, and ping pong. Only downfall is that the pepper market isn't that great.

We stayed at POFQ in May and loved it! So much to do but quiet also. We rented surrey bikes, used the boat to DD a lot, walked the path to POR every morning, hubby ran the running path each day. We would stay there again in a heartbeat! For a mod resort, it feels very upscale...

I have stayed at both CB and POFG and both are awesome!!!! Have you about the FW cabins???

We have stayed at POFQ, POR, CBR & CSR. Hands down I would do POR or POFQ again. In fact POFQ was our "go to" resort for years until we had 1 issue that was an isolated incident that kind of soured us on POFQ. It really could have happened anywhere. I would also do CBR again but CSR left us feeling underwhelmed. So all that being said I would do any but CSR.
