Yup, it's true, finally. Our first time camping at the Fort, a whole week. I've been there hundreds of times either during work or just walking around with Buddy the wonder dog wannabe, but it's our first time RVing with the Buddymobile. So if you fiends have any suggestions on stuff to do, other than looking for black bears, give it up. I'll be working some days but I'll have time off as well. And if you're in the site next to me and I've given you a bad ride earlier, don't let the air out of my tires.

Where can we start. We have been about 8 times in the last 2 years and are heading out again June 30th. You can take a wagon ride, rent a power boat, rent a canoe or paddle wheel boat, take archery lessons, go fishing (yes, we have a few die hard fishermen here), go horseback riding, take a Segway tour, swim, ride bikes, rent a GC, laze around doing nothing but people watch, go to the beach for fireworks and the electrical water parade and play games in the arcade. There is probably more to do, but now I'm tired just thinking about it all.

Wow, this is indeed a momentous occasion!!

But it sounds like bear watching is all the rage at the Fort these days! Then again I suppose you could...

Sit in a rocker on the porch at Crocketts with a beverage ...and look for bears

Grab a bucket of chicken at Trails End and go sit on the beach for a picnic ...and look for bears

Take a midnight dip in the hot tub ....and look for bears

Head to the beach in time to catch Wishes and/or the Electric Water Pageant ...and look for bears

Go looping a couple of dozen times ....all while looking for bears

Have a wonderful time!

...and if you rent/bring bikes, watch out for these

Oh and you go swimming during off hours, be sure to look for ripples in the water before you dive in...

Go for a bus ride and be the passenger that you would hate to have on your bus!

I recognize the bear in the pool. He jumped in line ahead of me on the slide and then took my chair. He had tried a couple other chairs before mine, but I had a thick towel and he seemed to like it the best. Very strange.

Is that all there is to do?
I hear that there are also some theme parks nearby.
