First time Annual Passholder - any advice?

I would just say the standard stuff:

• Don't forget to ALWAYS check if you are eligible for any discounts -- dining, merchandise, tours, etc. Even buying a bottle of water in the Disney stores -- why not get the discount??
• Be on the lookout for little freebies like the magnets at F&W and other times of year
• Make use of Memory Maker -- it's where we end up getting our family photos for the year
• Don't get suckered into a renewal. Buy the AP when/if you'll be in the parks for enough days in a 12mo period to justify it. That's what we've done for 13ish years.

Great thread! We are getting ready to go Monday (Labor day) with our first Weekday Annual Passes.

As a FL Resident, this made sense because we will go at least 6 days this year. I can feel the addiction setting in already!

Any packing tips? We may just leave if it rains, so maybe less rain gear? I'm going to get a disney bag just packed and kept ready to go!

Also any tips on Park hoping? We are new to that idea too.

Thinking of doing this too. Bought 5 day park-hopper with water park and thought about upgrading when we are there in November to gold pass (we won't use the water park day in November) but I already bought photo pass through Disney. Is it still a good deal if we make one more trip in 2019?

I'd say yes.

A 5-day park-hopper with water park costs around $500 .. so if you went for a 3-4 day trip (with hoppers and water park) . .you'd be about breaking even .. but have all the benefits of an annual pass (free parking, discounts, and the use of Photo Pass on the 2nd trip.

Though having already bought a Photo Pass, you are really missing out of a huge savings.
