This is our first Disney cruise. My dd's are 7 and 4. Do you think we'll be entertained enough on the ship and with included Castaway Cay activities that we don't need any excursions.

I've been to the Bahamas several times and have even stayed at Atlantis before, so that's not a big attraction to me. I would like to visit the casino there. I think my 7 yo would love to go there because of the Mary-Kate and Ashley movie, but I'm hoping that we'll be entertained enough with what's included?

What do you guys think? Are there some not to be missed excursions for this age group? Other families and friends traveling with us also have kids between the 4 to 8 age group.

How about not to be missed excursions for adults? I think my dh would be happy just playing black jack all day at the Atlantis casino.

On our 3 day, we didn't do any excursions. We didn't even get off the ship at Nassau. We still didn't have enough time to do everything we wanted to do. I think you'll be fine!!!

I think your kids would love the Dig (aquarium) at the Atlantis resort. If you don't think so, stay on the ship, its great, Nassau's not.

Our first cruise last summer was the 4-day and we didn't do one excursion. We all (incl. our 2 boys 9 and 11 at the time) had a wonderful time with PLENTY to do. We didn't even get off the ship in Freeport. Nassau we just went exploring on foot. Castaway Cay we rented some snorkling equipment and the bikes - that was worth it. Have fun! This won't be your last Disney cruise!

We also have DDs age 4 & 7. On our 3-day last November we did not get off the ship in Nassau.

DD7 got her hair braided on the ship that day and they enjoyed the clubs most of the day. DW and I enjoyed time w/o the kids at the nearly deserted adult swimming pool!

We also saw a movie on board that day.

Our DDs are also fans of the Olson twins! We pointed out Atlantis to them, but definitely preferred the clubs on board to seeing where the movie was filmed!

We are not planning any thing on nassau either we may walk to the pirate museum for an hour just to give th ekiddies something to do. Well... I am planning on buying my watch when i get there I have had my eye on a new movado for a while!:p
