First the Oval NOW! the Triangle

Hi everyone,

We were very lucky to stay in a lovely studio room 416 within a few days of the resort opening, but we noticed the BCV Triangle.
Looking down from our balcony at the turret balcony below only to find the strange triangle balcony that neither room can use but why? who knows. See pictures below.

This is still a great resort of real of real quality.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom on one side of the "triangle". We had a huge balcony. The "triangle" gives a bit of privacy if your sitting on your balcony and your neighbors are sitting on theirs.

Rumor has it that guests with the triangle balconey frequently check in but mysteriously never seem to check out. Other sources suggest that this BCV triangle may well be the source of the dissappearing balconey from VWL studio 4533. Scarey stuff.

Never been to BCV but from a homebuilders perspective, it looks like Disney was probably trying to keep the flow of the building going even if it meant putting a "false" balcony on at an extra expense. But thats Disney fashion, everything pleasing to the senses. Just my observation, dont actually know if this is true or not.

From a construction standpoint they also needed support posts to mount the dividing rail to so they would be solid. Nice quality job.

Sorry, not a fun answer. It's a really kewl resort, isn't it. I think they keep getting better as they build them. We really like the latest room design.

By the way, you have some really nice photos posted along with the triangle one.

OMG.....that is SO funny. We were in room 416 over Christmas and we often looked down and questioned the "triangle" as well!!!!

We stayed in 315 - a studio with the triangle balcony last July. The large balcony is divided into three triangles and the two neighboring units each get one of the triangles. What we got (one third of the entire thing) was immense. Much larger than what we had when we stayed at BWV in a studio. I could move the chairs and table out to the end of the area, or middle or back by the slider. The balcony would be huge if they divided it into two sections instead of three. Almost as big as the entire living room.

They should a backstage tour called The Mysterious Shapes of the BCV! The oval, the triangle, and who knows what else lurks!
