Taking my 7 yr old DD to Six Flags over GA on Thursday and I'm trying to decide what roller coaster to try her out on first. She's 51 inches so some of the rides she can't do anyway. I'm trying to decide if we should ride the Scream Machine, Mine Bender or the GA cyclone 1st.

She's been to the fair and ridden quite a few rides and loved them all. She was too small last WDW trip to really ride any of the big thrill rides.

Older DD was tall enough for the same rides, tried her on the Cyclone but hated it becasue it jostled her too much and refused to try anything else.:confused3 But I'm worried that the Mind Bender might be a little too much excitement to start the day off with.

She very excited and says she can't wait to ride it all but since this is her first real time riding thrill rides and older DD doesn't like then, I in a quandry. Any opinions?

TIA

Scream Machine and GA Cyclone are both very bumpy since they are wooden ones. Mindbender is smoother, but it does go upside down. I myself can't ride wooden ones b/c of my bad back.

After thinking about it, I guess I would say the Scream Machine. I'm trying to remember what my DD rode first- she was probably that age. She LOVES Mindbender. She rode it about 5x in a row. Only quit b/c DH couldn't take it anymore! lol

I would take her on the Mine Train and if she liked that, go on the Mindbender. The Scream Machine is my favorite, though. :)

I forgot about the Mine Train. I would do that first. I wouldn't recommend the Ninja for a first time rider...

No, I don't think we'll try the Ninja yet. I'm sure she can handle the Mine Train. I'm thinking maybe the GASM 1st, then the Cyclone, and Mind Bender. Sounds like a logical processio. Thanks for all the advice. Keep it coming.

Another vote for the Dahlonega Mine Train. It's not nearly as high nor as scary as the looping roller coasters. My next fave is the Great American Scream Machine. But then I cut my teeth on those old wooden roller coasters. However, I have been known to wet my pants a little bit on that ride.:rolleyes1

Thanks for all the suggestions. After looking at the website las night and showing pictures, we'll do the Mine train 1st, which I know she'll love. Then the Scream Machine, Cyclone, and Mine bender. Of course, Thinder River, Splashwater Falls and the Skull Island stuff after lunch so I don't have have to pay for a locker to carry towels around all day. I'm thinking about renting one of those Flash Pass things but good lord at the cost :confused3

But I don't want to havre to wait in line for 2 hours in the July heat, so i guess it's well worth it. But boy has Disney spoiled me by offering the fastpass for free ;):lmao:

People who aren't accustomed to wooden coasters find them strange because they ARE bumpy. I grew up on the Cyclone in Coney Island so the Georgia Cyclone is my fave! :cool1:

Have fun. I cannot STAND 6 Flags. The last time we went I threatened my son that this was IT.
