Please give ideas and suggestions on dinning while you stayed at the Poly. either on the resort or surrounding area. Thanks!!

I have always loved to get something good from either the fast food place or a dessert (carry out from Kona?) and taking it down to the beach to enjoy while the Water Parade goes by.

ahutton,
do you know what time the parade starts? we will be there for dinner monday night, hopefully with a good table for the fireworks. is it possible to see both?
thank,
:wave2:

Ohana and Kona are our 2 favorite restaurants in WDW. Food atmosphere and service has always been great at both. However my only complaint about the Poly is Captain Cooks. We were very disappointed in more than 1 meal there on our last trip, although, I did really like the chocolate chip muffins there. ;)

***Edited to add, the Electrical Water Pagent goes by the Poly at 9:00, unless the fireworks are at 9:00 in which case the Pagent goes by immediately following the fireworks at about 9:15.

Hopefully they still have banana stuffed sourdough french toast (Tonga Toast) at the Kona Cafe for breakfast- EXCELLENT! Also, if you drink coffee- get some french pressed Kona- that will get you started :)

Yes they do, and I fully agree...EXCELLENT! ;)

We love Kona Cafe for breakfast, lunch or dinner!

Ohanas - I liked the atmosphere but the food was just okay. My husband on the other hand LOVED the food. It's a favorite of many so don't listen to me.

Captain Cooks is...well....just a fast food eatery but it's fine and dandy for the purpose it serves.

Definitely try Ohana and if you drink, try the 'beverages' at Tambu Lodge. 'Tradewinds' is a favorite!

We love the Kona Cafe especially for dessert....They have the best desserts. We go and each order a different dessert and share. They are amazingly delicious. Can't wait to go there this summer...:jumping1: :thewave:

Any thoughts on the Luau? How is the show? What did you think of the food? Is there a separate kids menu? Thanx for your help.

We love the Polynesian...our July trip will be I think our 31st stay there!:bounce:

One of the many delights of the Polynesian is the ease of getting to many great restaurants. WE love Kona, too...for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The macadamia crusted mahi mahi is sooo good.

We also love dining at some of the other restaurants on the monorail circuit. It's fun to take the monorail to Victoria and Albert, California Grill, Narcoossee's, and Citricos. Lunch at the GF Cafe is always on our agenda after a MK morning. You can even pop over to the MK for just a meal.

We also love returning to the Polynesian via the little launches that dock by Narcoossee's.:boat:
