Hi All!

I've decied to go for and book my first ever solo trip from the UK to california next week. I love a band called something corporate and they're playing in LA it sold out really quickly but I somehow managed to grab a ticket, I've found a deal for the right price and I'm off on a last minute trip to see them and celebrate my 40th in Disneyland!

I am nervous but excited about the trip. My main concern is getting back to my hotel safely after the concert has finished (booked a hotel in Hollywood that night then moving to one nearer the parks) and getting back to my hotel after my park day is done. I figure that for that there will be enough people leaving the parks around the same time as me that I'll be fine. Safety in numbers coming into play.

If anyone is around and would like to make a new friend then feel free to send me a message :)

I can't really comment on Hollywood, but the Anaheim Resort Area areound Disneyland is pretty safe for walking, even after park close. There will be lots of people around. Don't be surprised to see a couple of street vendors or homeless people, but there are rarely issues. Do watch the vehicle traffic if you are crossing one of the big streets! Usually, short walks around DL are easy and safe though. Hollywood? Well, that really depends on where the concert and your hotel are. If you take a rideshare or something though it should be okay.

Have fun!

Thanks that's good to know. The concert is Something Corporate at the Hollywood Palladium, and the hotel is about a mile away by the Chinese theatre. Close enough I could walk but I think an uber is a far better idea.

Yeah, don't walk that late at night. Definitely get a car to take you. That area is touristy but could get a little sketchy at night. Like, the Hollywood & Highland area is pretty safe, but over on Sunset it can vary (not that I've spent a ton of time around there, but it's a favorite area to check out when I am in LA). It's not too worrying, but, you know. It is a cool part of town and you might see some pretty interesting characters out and about - it's old Hollywood for sure. Explore a little during the day, but assuming the concert ends late, take a cer.

Walking to the hotel from Disneyland won't be an issue. Plenty of others will be doing the same walk with you. There might be some homeless people, but just be polite and they won't bother you.

The walk from the Palladium to the Chinese Theater area isn't really dangerous, since there will be plenty of tourists still out at the time, but I would recommend splurging on an Uber. It's a long walk with some uphill sections, and Ubers are cheap and readily available in LA.
