OK, next month I'm staying onsite after a conference in Orlando. I had thought that I'd be having a couple of room mates who were also going to stay. They all changed their minds. I'm already reserved for the ASMu. I love the Music!! I've stayed there, ASMo, Contemporary and I've done some resort visiting. I have gotten some extra $$ and I'm trying to decide whether to upgrade, and if so where and why. Please help me out. I will be renting an ECV from offsite, but I don't nessisarrily need a HA room.

Tell me what you think, please.

I'd need a little more information about what you want to do before I'd be able to offer any suggestions.
Like how much time will you be able to spend *not* at your conference? Will you be going to the parks? How much do you like just hanging out, enjoying the resorts?
Stuff like that... :)

I'll have five days AFTER the conference. I am moving onsite on Sunday July 16 and leave late afternoon on Thurs. July 20. Yes, I will be going to the parks, I intend to do more resort visiting and doing a lot of taking my time.
My afternoon break time may or may not be at my resort. I may take that time to resort visit and people watch.

If you plan to do a lot of resort visiting I would go for the Poly. I think staying on the monorail would be fantastic!

I stayed at POFQ on my solo trip. It was great!! It's small and you don't have to travel too far to get anywhere. That's a big plus when you are by yourself.

after you staying on a weekend - if so kept your ASMu or change to Pop.

if you are talking about week days then go rent a reservation from a DVC member and go with either BWV or BCV. both you can walk, boat or use your ECV to get to BOTH Epcot and Studios...

both resorts are very nice for solo trips. You have a queen bed and a double sleeper sofa.

I'd recommend POFQ. It's small, so it's easy to get everywhere at this resort. Also, there is a boat to DTD. Have stayed here solo before and really enjoyed it.

Another vote for POFQ. However, I also like dix...I mean POR next door.

I happen to love the location of B'walk...conveniient to Epcot and MGM and the Boardwalk area is nice, too.
