Hello!

My boyfriend and I went to Disney for my 30th birthday in August 2018. It was my first visit and his first "adult" trip to Disney. I immediately became obsessed and started planning our return for this April 2019. (I'm a teacher, so we only have the option of spring break, summer, Christmas, or "Jersey Week"end).

He has plans to spend Easter with his family, so I decided to fly down on my own - my first time flying by myself - on Friday 4/19 and he'll be joining me on Monday morning (4/22). I've already sketched out a preliminary plan for our shared time that covers all the major attractions and most evening shows. We're doing the Keys to the Kingdom Tour, and Toy Story EMM as our "special events", as well as brunch at California Grill.

What are your "must-do"s for a solo trip? Is Hoop-Dee-Doo fun by yourself? Where should I eat/what should I do while I'm on my own? Should I try to get my "min/max the rides" out of the way so the two of us can stroll around and resort hop and see Disney Springs? (He's way more chill than I am, and really doesn't mind one way or the other what we do or don't do, as long as we ride Spaceship Earth and Splash Mountain.)

I'm a bit nervous and a bit excited, and eager to hear your suggestions!

So you have Sat and Sun solo...

I enjoy Hoop-De-Doo solo. Done it twice. I love resort hoping solo but it sounds like that's what you want to do with your boyfriend so it seems getting in the rides would be your best option. Try a challenge on Sunday - ride two rides in each park. Get a FP for one hard to get ride and just wing the rest.

Simple, enjoy doing what you want, when you want and how you want. There are plenty of us solo guests and our numbers are increasing. Get all your FP+ for the morning, done right you can have all done by 11am or thereabouts and then you can get extras, as you are alone you will find there will be more available than there would be for larger groups. As soon as I scan my band and am in line I get out MDE and book the next soonest FP at the nearest ride before I even get on the ride I'm in line for. As you are solo you have way more flexibility, so enjoy it!

I'd focus on things he may not want to go - as an example, my husband is not a lay by the pool guy - so I'd do at least some time by the pool. I'd see if there are some resorts he wouldn't mind not seeing, I'd take a boat ride to DS and do a little shopping or scope out some places for dinner.

I'd focus on things he may not want to go
Yes- this!! When I go solo I focus on characters and photos because my husband doesn't care for either. Same for eating at places he doesn't necessarily like. Like he doesn't drink so we don't go to many bars but when I'm solo... all bets are off hahaha.
